Marimar Episode 72

Marimar Episode 72 – The one where Sergio and Marimar date

Corazon talks to Marimar trying to bridge the gap between her and Sergio. She tells the young woman that she understands everything she went through, all the hardships, but that is all in the past. “Isipin mo si Cruzita and her happiness. It is possible.” The jolly cook refers to her and Sergio getting back together.

Marimar admits she is confused, “Inaamin ko, nalilito ako.” She tells Corazon that in her heart she still has feelings for Sergio but he fooled her, and used her. She thought that marrying Sergio would be the start of something wonderful in her life. Little did she know that it would be the beginning of all her sorrows and pain.

The kind lady doctor who found Renato checks up on him asking the nurse about his progress. The nurse reports that all his vital signs are OK and leaves the doctor who wonders who the man is and why no one has come looking for him.

Corazon urges Marimar to forget all her sorrows and pain in the past. She tells the once naïve lass that she must hold true instead to her marriage vows. “Nanumpa kayo sa Diyos, sa tao, sa tanan! Till deaths do you part.” That line where you have to love one another in good and bad times, she stresses, that should be upheld – the love.

Sergio is excited as he confirms his order for ten dozen roses over the phone. He asks Arturo whether the catering had been arranged. The gay driver nods, “Na-order ko na llahat ng paboritong pagkain ni Marimar.” Telling his boss that he’s ordered all of Marimar’s favorite food.

Santibanez asks about his suit, if it has been sent to the dry cleaners and Arturo states that indeed it has. He comments, “Naku, talagang kina-career mo ang panunuyo kay Marimar ha” that Sergio is seriously pursuing Marimar. The young racer reveals, “I want this (night) to be perfect.”

Rodolfo and Bella meet in a coffee shop. The young businessman thanks her for agreeing to see him. Rodolfo isn’t giving up on his plans to marry Marimar and tells her so, “Everyone knows about our wedding.”

Marimar apologises, “Sorry but I don’t love you.” Rodolfo treats it like a business merger, telling her to enter into this joint venture and given a few years perhaps, she’ll surely learn to love him back. “In time, matututunan mo rin akong mahalin.”

Sorry,” Marimar repeats. She tells Rodolfo that she has to go and leaves. Rodolfo is left, desperate to marry Bella Aldama and her billions.

Sergio tells Arturo he will do everything to win back his family, “Gagawin ko ang lahat para makuha ulit ang pamilya ko.”

Arturo asks his boss about his secret, the one pertaining to his marriage with Marimar. Sergio is quick to stop Arturo from ever mentioning it to anyone. “Walang dapat makaalam niyan.” He adds that when he’s back together with Marimar, he will fix things to make them right.

Angelika is back at the resort and talks to a municipality staff and confirms that the marriage documents of Sergio and Marimar are indeed fake. She is happy to know this and perhaps gets a glimmer of hope that Sergio may still want her, granting that he didn’t really marry Marimar. She tells Monica that they are going back to Manila right now.

Monica who is talking with her husband, Diego is about to protest. Diego whines, “Ano aalis na naman kayo, kadarating nyo lang” that the two are leaving again when they’ve just arrived. This irks Angelika as she snaps at her ex-body guard telling him to shut up if he knows what is good for him. Monica asks what will they be doing and why the rush.

Angelika replies with an excited aura, “Dadalawin natin si Marimar. May pasasabugin lang tayong magandang balita sa kanya.” She tells Monica that they are going to go see Marimar and tell her some juicy bit of wonderful news.

Bella arrives from work and sees Sergio on the stairs leading to the second floor, talking to Cruzita, Corazon and Fulgoso (Well I guess, he’s not really talking to Fulgoso but the dog does talk to the viewers!)

Hi baby!” She greets her daughter who runs to her and gives her a kiss and a warm embrace.

Look mommy, binigyan ako ni daddy ng kwintas.” The child shows Marimar the necklace Sergio gave her. Marimar smiles and asks whether she’s thanked her father properly. Remember Gustavo also gave Marimar a special necklace...parallels sila ni Cruzita! Like mother like daughter ang dating.

Cruzita pulls Marimar and makes her sit beside Sergio who remains smiling but doesn’t say anything. Cruzita shares, “Mommy may sasabihin sa iyo si daddy” that her father wants to say something to Marimar. The child raises her curiosity by adding, “super important.”

Marimar asks her daughter, “Cruzita, ano yon?” Not getting any reply but a huge smile, she turns to Sergio asking him what it is about. Sergio only adds to the suspense when he tells her, “Secret na eh!” Firm on secrecy he reveals nothing too.

This stresses Marimar a bit and prompts Cruzita to give her mother some advise, “Mommy relax, mas kinakabahan nga si daddy!” (Relax, daddy is more nervous than you!)

Our heroine smiles at her daughter, looks at Sergio and back at Cruzita, pinches her cheecks as she exclaims, “Manang-mana ka sa tatay mo!” (You’re just like your dad!)

Happy to have both parents in one roof and definitely part of the secret, Cruzita bids them goodnight and states, “I love you.” Addressed to both Marimar and Sergio as she goes up the stairs to her room.

Fulgoso and Corazon move to follow but not without some canine comment from the loyal mutt, “Marimar, huwag ka nang pakipot. Sarap ng hinanda ni Sergio. Tirhan mo ako ha?” (Don’t play hard-to-get. Sergio prepared a delicious feast. Leave some for me ok?)
Sergio and Marimar are now alone on the staircase. She tells him playfully, “Pati anak natin, kinukuntsaba mo!” (You’re conniving even with our daughter!) Sergio only laughs and pulls her to her feet.

He takes her out of the house as Marimar asks him what’s going on. He remains silent but his smile is full of promise which keeps her want to keep walking. They go to the back in the garden where there is a huge gazebo set for a romantic dinner for two. Sergio sits Marimar and stands behind her. Marimar looks at the prepared food, unsure what to react.

From a short distance, Fifi and Fulgoso watch the couple. Fifi, “Kakakilig naman silang panoorin! Kakainggit!” The female mutt finds Sergio and Marimar such a romantic couple, and gushes that she feels envious as she watches them. Fulgoso remarks, “Kakainggit? Kakagutom kamo!” he isn’t really envious of their romance, he is more interested in their food.

Sino nagluto nito?” Marimar asks Sergio who prepared all the food.

Ako,” he replies, “Para sa iyo.” He tells Marimar he cooked it for her as he plants a soft kiss on her forehead. (Sergio you stupid liar! You had it catered! Stop lying and tell the truth already!)

Marimar stands, “Ayaw ko kumain” and tells Sergio she is not eating. She stands by the railing and he stands behind her, towering on her small frame. She tells him, “Baka may gayuma pa yan.” (Perhaps the food contains aphrodisiacs.) She jokes and he plants small kisses on her left shoulder.

Sergio concedes, “OK don’t eat but tonight, I’ll be your slave.” Marimar gives him a naughty smile when he promised her that he will do anything she wants him to do. Sergio kisses her shoulder again as Marimar thinks of ways to punish her new slave.

Monica and Angelika are driving to the city. Monica looks tired and not interested but has no choice but accompany her friend. She tries to convince her that it is best they return to Villa Santibanez and do all these tomorrow. But Angelika couldn’t be stopped. She tells Monica that she can’t wait to see the look on Marimar’s face once she tells her rival of Sergio’s secret.

Despite enjoying the tirade between herself and Sergio, Marimar stops herself to face reality and asks her husband what is going on, “Anong nangyayari dito Sergio?”

Sergio doesn’t think twice when he answers her, “Nililigawan kita.” (I’m courting you.)

She moves away from him, to another part of the gazebo as she tells him, “Ayaw ko, niloko mo na ako.” (I don’t want you courting me. You’ve already fooled me once before.)

Corazon is also looking in on the couple as she smiles and gushes. Innocencia arrives asking her what is it she’s looking at smiling and giggling like a school girl. Corazon points to Sergio and Marimar and Innocencia smiles as she sees the cause of Corazon’s girlish reactions. (Does this mean OK na si Innocencia if Marimar and Sergio get back. Willing ba siya to just set aside her feelings for Sergio, for the happiness of her friend and benefactor? How sublime! Sige na girl, ibaling mo na lang ang pagtingin mo kay Antonio.)

Sergio comes to her and looks her in the eye. Marimar’s eyes start to glisten as Sergio expresses his love for her. He adds, “Kung ano ako ngayon, dahil iyon sa iyo.” (Whatever I may be now, it is because of you.)

Marimar is now in tears, hearing the words she longed to hear but a little bit to late with a lot of heataches in between. She tells him, “Hindi ako naniniwala.” She no longer believes in Sergio’s words.

After a while, Innocencia tells Corazon that the couple need privacy. It is best to leave them for now. She asks about Cruzita and the nanny tells her that her ward is asleep. Innocencia suggests they better make their way to bed as well, telling Corazon that it’s best if she went to check on Cruzita.

Marimar speaks about her life after Sergio left her. “Sa tuwing naaalala ko yung nakaraan ko, nasasaktan ako, namamatay ako. Kaya kung sasaktan mo muli ako Sergio, hindi ko mapapangako sa iyo na hindi ako mamamatay.” (Whenever I remember my past, I get hurt, I die a little inside. So if you are just going to hurt me again, Sergio, I cannot promise you that this time I won’t die.)

Sergio looks at her as he takes it in. He solemnly pledges his love for his wife as he apologises for all his mistakes in the past. “Patawarin mo ako kung nasaktan kita. Patawarin mo ako kung di ko nasabi sa iyo kung gaano ka kahalaga sa akin. Patawarin mo ako kung mas mahal mo ako noon. Pero noon yon.” He looks he in the eye as he implores her, “Give me another chance.”

Sergio takes Marimar’s face in his hands as he declares, “Marimar ang pagmamahal ko sa iyo, higit pa sa pagkatao ko. Mahal na mahal kita.” (My love for you is greater than my being. I love you very much.)

He kisses her deeply as he tries to take away her doubts. She cries but succumbs to his kiss.

Corazon is in Cruzita’s bedroom and the child is still awake. She asks her nanny whether her parents are getting back together again. Corazon admits that she is not sure but she constantly prays to the Sto. Nino (The baby Jesus) that they will indeed reconcile and be together again. The nanny adds, “Kasi labs naman nila ang isa’t isa.” (After all, they still do love one another.)

Antonio is wondering out loud whether Sergio is still coming back in the office. Arturo tells him it depends. If Sergio manages to win Marimar back tonight, they will no longer see him as he will be too preoccupied on his lady love. If he isn’t successful, he will surely come back seeking their sympathy and their company as he drowns his sorrows in conversations with them. Antonio commends how Sergio is earnest in his pursuit of Marimar and hopes the two get back together so Sergio could be happy at last. The loyal friend comments that getting back shouldn’t really be a problem, after all, they are still married.

Monica is looking at the map matching it with the address to Marimar’s home. She asks whether it’s the right address and Angelika confirms it should be correct given the bribe she had to give to get it. Monica looks at the map and asks her friend, “Papaano ba magbasa ng mapa?” (How should one read a map?) Furious, Angelika grabs the map from her sometimes daft side-kick.

The kiss ends and their faces, now so close together search one another’s eyes – trying to gauge each other’s true feelings, the longings of the other’s soul.

Marimar begins, “Kung mamahalin ba kita uli, mapapangako mo ba sa akin na hindi mo na ako paiiyakin?” (If I loved you again, would you be able to promise me that you won’t let my cry anymore?)

Sergio sincerely promises, “Hindi na kita sasaktan. Hindi kita paiiyakin.” (I won’t hurt you. I won’t make you cry.)

Pag minahal ba kita uli, mapapangako mo ba sa akin na hindi mo na ako iiwan?” (If I loved you again, would you be able to promise me that you’ll never ever leave me?)

Hinding-hindi na kita iiwanan.” (I will never ever leave you.)

Pag minahal ba uli kita, maipapangako mo ba sa akin na ako lang ang iibigin mo?” (If I loved you again, would you be able to promise me that you will love none other but me?)

Ikaw lang at wala nang iba.” (Only you and no one else.)

Like a wedding vow, at its end, when both have given their pledges, Sergio kisses his wife. Despite being afraid of being burned and hurt, Marimar kisses her husband back.

Sergio declares, “Mahal na mahal kita.” (I love you very much.)

There is some fear still written on Marimar’s face but she smiles this time as they kiss again. Sergio kisses Marimar’s forehead tenderly as she takes his hand and places it on her heart.

Sergio looks at her and this time, she lets go of the past and opens her heart back to the one man she loves. “Sergio, mahal na mahal ka ng puso ko. At kahit kelan, hindi tumigil ang pagtibok nito. Sa iyo lang Sergio. Sa iyo lang.” (My heart loves only you. It has never stopped beating for you, Sergio. It beats only for you.)

Arturo divulges to Antonio that Sergio and Marimar’s marriage was all a hoax, a fake. Antonio can see dark clouds in the horizon for his friend. He can only imagine Marimar’s reaction when she, if she ever finds out.

Sergio is full of joy at Marimar’s profession of love for him and he doesn’t hesitate as he takes her hand and places it on his own heart. “Mahal na mahal kita Marimar, at ikaw lang ang tinitibok ng puso ko. Ikaw lang.” (I love you very much, Marimar and it is only for you that my heart beats. It is only you.)

They kiss again, this time with more passion as they hold each other’s promises as talismans to help them face all the odds. (Ay kilig talaga! Ang hirap mag-take notes habang nakatutok sa mga romantic eksena nina Sergio at Marimar! They truly sizzle as a love-tandem! Aw! P.S. Forgive all the exclamation points, I’m just soooo kileeeeeeeg! Grabeh!)

Monica and Angelika finally arrive at the address. The former hesitates, “Huwag na kaya tayo tumuloy?” But Angelika ignores her and gets out of the vehicle. She comes to the gate and ask for Marimar telling the guard that she is a friend and has come to just give her something. The guard allows her to enter and she makes her way towards the garden behind (or beside?) the house.

Angelika wastes no time in disrupting the romantic scene. “Hi Marimar! Sergio! Andito ka rin pala. Mabuti at may kinalaman sa iyo ang pagpunta ko dito.” (Hi Marimar and Sergio, I’m glad you’re also here as what I’m about to divulge mainly concerns you.)

Marimar is surprised that Angelika found her home and is here! Angelika tells her she knows everything, “Yes I know, ang basurang si Marimar ay si Bella Aldama. Di ba bestfriend mo ako?” (Yes I know that the filth that was Marimar is none other than the heiress Bella Aldama. Aren’t I your best friend back then?)

Marimar asks her what she wants and Angelika tells her that she should ask Sergio. Sergio can see the envelop and knows what it contains. He tries to stop Angelika but this time, Marimar wants to be told the truth. She looks at Sergio. He looks alarmed but does not say anything.

Angelika takes the ball, “And since napipi ka na, let me do the honors…” (Since you’ve gone mute, let me do the honors…)

Tumahimik ka!” Sergio shouts at Angelika to shut up.

Bakit Sergio, ayaw mo bang malaman ng asawa mo ang sikreto mo? Ooops, di mo pala siya asawa – isang kasinungalingan lang pala ang kasal ninyo.” (Why don’t you want your wife to find out about your secret. Ooops sorry, she’s not really your wife, your marriage was a fake!)

Angelika looks happy to have dropped the bomb. Sergio is shocked, unsure of how to seek Marimar’s understanding, just when they seemed to be so close to reconciliation. More so is Marimar who seemed to have lost all hope for her and Sergio.

Marimar Episode 71

Marimar Episode 71 – The One with the happy family – Sergio, Marimar and Cruzita

Angelika tells Monica about the truth she has discovered about Bella Aldama when she overheard Rodolfo and Bruno talking. Monica couldn’t believe it. “Kaya naman pala magkamukhang-magkamuha yang si Bella Aldama at si Marimar!” Monica exclaims. Now realizing that the uncanny resemblance is because they are one and the same person.

But she stops and asks Angelika another important question. Didn’t Angelika have Marimar killed?

This all the more irks Angelika who snaps, “Ewan ko ba! Palpak talaga itong si Nicandro, siya ang papatayin ko!” (I don’t know. This Nicandro is such a screw-up! I’m really going to kill him!)

Marimar who has finally allowed Cruzita some bonding time with her father tells her daughter that she is leaving her with Corazon and Sergio. Sergio asks her if she’d like to stay and this was immediately seconded by a pleading Cruzita, “Please mommy, please, please, please….”

Marimar looks down at the man she loves who is crouched beside the most important thing in her life. He says, “Pagbigyan mo na ang bata.” (Indulge the child.)

Monica is talking non-stop, excited about the fact that Marimar is alive and is now the rich, glamourous and uber-pretty Bella Aldama. She tells Angelika, “Kaya pala ganun ang ginawa sa iyo ni Bella Aldama, gumaganti lang siya. Oh no, di ka ba natatakot? Baka patayin ka rin niya?” (No wonder she’s been doing this to you, she’s just seeking vengeance. Oh no, aren’t you afraid that she’ll kill you too?) Monica recalls Angelika had Marimar killed so perhaps to retaliate, the rich and powerful Bella could have Angelika killed too.

Angelika brushes it aside telling Monica that if Bella wanted to kill her, she would have done so a long time ago. She curses, “Lecheng babaeng yan, parang pusa, ayaw mamatay-matay!” (That woman is like a cat; she seems to have nine lives!)

The evil Senora Santibanez however is still confident that when it comes to being scheming and evil, she is better than Marimar. “Pero di ako patatalo, pagdating sa kamalditahan, panalo pa rin ako.” Angelika smiles at Monica.

Cruzita continues to beg and after a pause Marimar relents addressing her daughter, “Alam mo namang hindi kita kayang tanggihan.” (You know I couldn’t say no to you.)

Both Cruzita and Sergio exclaim, “Yes!” Happy that the woman they both love is spending precious time with them too. The small Santibanez-Aldama family is complete at last and for the very first time.

Music plays as we see Sergio, Marimar and Cruzita pose for some picture-taking with Corazon as the photographer. Just like what Sergio and Marimar used to do, and what Marimar does with Cruzita, they cover their faces with their hands and when they’re ready, open showing happy, sad, angry or funny faces.

Cruzita requested that Sergio put his hand on Marimar’s face, Marimar’s hand covers Cruzita’s face and the child covers her father’s face. They all seem to enjoy making faces with Corazon relishing the part of the clicker as well. There was a look that Sergio and Marimar shared after one such game where she gave Sergio a flippant glare with one eyebrow raised higher than the other. Sergio smiles at her as Marimar looks away.

After several shots Cruzita asks Marimar to kiss her father. Sergio moves to oblige but Marimar takes a while to acquiesce. A few heartbeats and she too leans in toward Sergio and they kiss, Cruzita happy to see her parents lips locked in a solemn kiss, both pairs of eyes closed. Corazon couldn’t hide her excitement and happiness seeing the two and she snapped multiple shots to capture the moment.

Cruzita exclaims, “Mommy ito ang pinakamasaya kong araw!” (This is my happiest day ever!)

Sergio and Marimar both share a look as they smile at Cruzita.

Meanwhile, Monica and Angelika are in the car having been kicked out of their hotel. She asks Angelika what her plans are now. Angelika tells her friend that they are returning to San Martin dela Costa. There she will plan her revenge to once and for all get rid of Marimar.

Monica comments that her plans may no longer work as Marimar is now rich, while Angelika had become slightly poor. Marimar is now very pretty and sophisticated while Angelika had sort of let herself go. Monica is quick to add, “medyo” (just a little). “Dehado ka na! (You’re at a disadvantage!) At this point Angelika tries to push Monica out of the vehicle. The comic best friend apologises and pretends to fall asleep. Angelika swears out loud, “Di pa tayo tapos Marimar, babalikan kita!” (We’re not through yet, Marimar, I will get back what is owed me.)

Arturo and Antonio are in the office and the gay asks Antonio to go grab a bite with him. “Halika kain tayo, gutom na ako. Libre kita.”

Antonio tells Arturo who even offers to pick the tab that he is still waiting for Sergio to return. He tells Arturo he is not his type and the young man adds, if Arturo wants them to have lunch together, then he should also ask the company of Innocencia whom Antonio seems to be eyeing with growing interest! He points to her with his lips not wanting the lady to realize he is talking about her. (I like the pair, I hope they end up together! Been wondering about that. Also if all ends well, maybe Tia Esperanza could fall for Renato, both are in their maturer years and would welcome one another’s company. Arturo can have Diego, if Monica gets imprisoned with Angelika for being accessory to the many crimes she has done. Nicandro can end up with Perfecta… oh the possibilities!)

It is early evening and Sergio takes home Cruzita with Corazon and of course, Marimar. Father and daughter are inseparable with Cruzita asking Sergio to tell her about her mom. Sergio exclaims, “Ang dami kong kwento tungkol sa mommy mo!” (I have some many stories about your mom!) and both run to the swing by the porch to continue their conversation.
A little behind is Marimar and Corazon who both are silent but looking quite happy. Corazon exclaims that she’s never seen Cruzita so happy. “Sabik sa father niya!” (She truly missed having a father!)

Both women look at the two who are talking animatedly on the swing.

Corazon takes the opportunity to offer her advice to Marimar. “Hindi naman sa nakikialam ako ha, huwag ka sanang magalit. Kasi alam ko naman ang pwedto ko, kung saan ko ilagay ang sarili ko. Pero napamahal na talaga sa akin si Cruzita at para ito sa kabutihan niya. Huwag na lang nimong paglayuin ang mag-ama.” (It’s not that I’m trying to intrude so please do not be angry with me. I know my place and I know it’s not in my position to offer any advice but I have learned to love Cruzita and care for her like she is my own and this is for her sake. Please do not separate her from her father.)

Antonio continues to ask Arturo about things he knows about Innocencia having both worked at Villa Santibanez at San Martin dela Costa but Arturo declares they were really not that close. She worked for Sergio in the office and Marimar used to be so jealous of her. “Feeling niya inaagaw ng girlalung yan ang jowa niya.” (Marimar felt that Innocencia was trying to take Sergio away from her.) Antonio asks the gay man whether there was any basis for Marimar’s jealousy. Arturo doesn't comment, unsure about her and Sergio's history. (What would Marimar do to Innocencia if she ever found out her closest confidante did fall for Sergio and is a relative of Angelika at that! Was it ever mentioned between them? I can't recall now...)

Marimar goes to Cruzita and Sergio and tells her daughter that maybe her father wants to leave. She explains to the child that perhaps Sergio may have other appointments or meetings to attend to. Sergio is quick to reply that he would cancel everything in a heartbeat to spend more time with his daughter.

He tells her daughter that he will stay but that she must go and get changed. The child leaves with Corazon with a request for Sergio, “Huwag kang aalis!” (Don’t leave!)

Alone together, Sergio stands beside Marimar. He tells her, “Kakapalan ko na mukha ko, is it OK if I stay for a while?” (I’m going to overstay my welcome by staying a bit longer. I hope it’s okay.)

Marimar doesn’t comment but she doesn’t budge from her position and is now side by side with her ex-husband. Sergio takes her hand in his. Both look down seeing their hands clasped together. Marimar remains silent but doesn’t make a move to take her hand away. Sergio smiles to himself seeing hope for reconciliation.

Rodolfo arrives and enters the gate.

Sergio looks into Marimar’s eyes and honestly reveals, “Na-miss kita, sobra.” (I miss you so much.)

Marimar feels the same and she tries to lean towards him, ready to kiss each other when Rodolfo calls her name, “Bella!”

Rodolfo? Anong ginagawa mo dito?” (What are you doing here?)

Bakit? Meron bang dahilan kung dalawin ko ang fiancée ko? Bakit kasama mo si Santibanez?” (Must I have a reason to visit my fiancee? Why is Santibanez with you?)

Sergio couldn’t help but answer, “Dahil ako ang ama ni Cruzita.” (Because I am Cruzita's father.)

Marimar stops him from talking anymore and faces Rodolfo with a statement. “Alam na ni Sergio ang totoo.” (Sergio knows the truth) Admitting that she had revealed all to her ex-husband and now Rodolfo's bargaining power - his threat - had been eliminated. (Yehey!)

Rodolfo insists that they can have their marriage annulled. He will even help with the paperwork. This irks Sergio who tries to confront Rodolfo but Marimar stops both men and tells Rodolfo, “Kung anuman ang namagitan sa amin ni Sergio, labas ka na roon. Kaya umalis ka na at baka may masabi pa akong hindi maganda.” (Whatever happened between me and Sergio is no longer your business. Please leave for I may not be able to help myself and say hurtful things to you.)

Rodolfo stops short. Marimar insists, “Please leave.”

After a moment, he turns around and leaves the two behind. Marimar and Sergio have been holding hands all that time!

Marimar turns to Sergio after Rodolfo has gone and tells him that perhaps it is better for him to leave as well, “Siguro kailangan mo na rin umalis.” (Didn't Cruzita ask him to stay?)

Sergio accepts this time, “OK. Goodnight

Goodnight.” The look they exchange is pregnant with longing. (I've always wanted to use that word in a non-maternity way!)

He kisses her again, hands still held together. He smiles at her. She smiles back. It feels awkward and familiar at the same time. Like going back to a place you so loved and cherished in your heart finding it a little bit different but still a lot the same. (Hay Sergi-Marimar fans, this is a super kilig moment! My excitement caused me to grab a pint of ice cream!)

Sergio’s smile is from ear to ear as he turns to leave. Marimar watches him go and smiles to herself as she enters her home.

In the Santibanez Motors office, Sergio finds Innocencia who just finished work prepare to leave. He happily tells her where he’s been and how his relationship with Marimar is turning towards the better but then grimaces when he relates that Rodolfo arrived and put a damper on this absolutely glorious day.

Innocencia asks, “Paano kung ipa-annull ni Marimar ang kasal ninyo?” (What if Marimar decides to have your marriage annulled?)

Marimar has just finished reading Cruzita a story and the child asks her why her father does not live with them. She tells Cruzita that it’s not that simple.

Cruzita offers that her dad can sleep on her mom’s bed, as it is quite a large bed. She asks her mother, “Di mo na love si daddy ko?” (Don't you love daddy anymore?)

Sergio tells Innocencia that he will not allow Marimar to have their marriage annulled especially now that they have a daughter. He stops and asks his secretary, “Ano sa palagay mo, may pag-asa ba ako?” Taking a woman’s point of view from one source he respects and values.
Innocencia’s reply is loaded, “Sir Sergio hindi ka mahirap mahalin, mahirap kang kalimutan.” Her timid smile betrays a longing, a deeply hidden love for the man in front of her. (Oh the twists and turns of this near-its-end telenovela, does this mean Innocencia still pines for Sergio? Is she advising Marimar to further her own interests, including getting a chance at Sergio's affections?)

Sergio lights up at her comment, “Yan ang gusto ko sa iyo, pinapalakas mo ang loob ko.” Sergio is sincere when he tells the young woman who seems to be still holding a torch for him that he values their friendship.

Angelika arrives at the Villa Santibanez in need of some cash and looks for the conniving attorney David. She learns that there is a new lawyer looking after their business as Atty. David is recuperating from a stroke. She asks the new lawyer for anything from the Santibanez coffers that could be sold. The lawyer tells her that there isn’t any more.

Angelika couldn’t believe it and argues that what she got from Renato was a mere portion of the total assets under the Santibanez name. The new lawyer tells her to focus instead on their business as it is again on the brink of bankruptcy and closure.

Angelika tells him he is over-acting bit the man insists that this is not a joke. She waves him aside telling him to stop scaring her, “Ok, huwag mo akong praningin, pwede?”

She states, “Hindi ito panahon para mag-isip ng mga ganyang problema. Ang gusto ko pera.” Angelika wants more money and is determined to get more from the Santibanez coffers. The lawyer repeats that all of Renato’s properties have been given to her already. The remaining properties are in Sergio’s name.

Marimar confronts Corazon why she told Cruzita stories about her and Sergio’s past. Corazon defends herself reasoning that Cruzita is a very inquisitive child and wouldn’t stop asking her about her parents.

Marimar reveals Cruzita is too young to understand what happened between her and Sergio. “Anong sasabihin ko sa kanya, na niloko ako’t iniwan ng tatay niya?” (What will I tell her that her father fooled and abandoned me?)

Corazon advises Marimar to forgive Sergio who seems sincere in his remorse and is doing everything he can to win back the trust and love they shared. Corazon adds, “Kitang kita naman na mahal na mahal niya si Cruzita.” (It is obvious how he adores Cruzita)

Marimar insists, “Sinaktan ako ni Sergio.” (But he hurt me.)

She plump nanny tells Marimar that it has been several years since all those bad things happened. Isn’t it time to forgive and forget it all? Marimar is silent, weighing the past against the future.

Rodolfo is trying to call Bella who doesn’t take his calls. He is getting frustrated. Bruno tells his friend to give it up. But Rodolfo needs the Aldama fortunes to expand his businesses. He needs to get married to Marimar.

Bruno, “But she’s already married!”

Rodolfo is hopeful that Marimar will see his point and since she has the power to nullify her marriage to Sergio.

Monica and Angelika are rummaging through the original office space that Sergio used when he decided to work at the resort. It used to be his mother’s office. They are looking for titles and deeds that Angelika can falsely claim as her own and sell off.

Angelika smokes allowing Monica to do all the finding. Monica finds a brown envelop with a large “Confidential” stamp. She opens it and finds Sergio’s and Marimar’s wedding certificate.

Angelika tells her to get rid of it, “Itapon mo, sunugin mo!” Throw it away or burn it.

But Monica reads the document and comments that she and Diego have the same certificate when they got married at the municipal hall but this one looks slightly different. Monica adds, “Kakaiba, parang may kulang.”

Her interest awakened, Angelika grabs the marriage certificate and inspects it.

Marimar Episode 70

Marimar Episode 70 – The one where Marimar gives in to Cruzita’s and Sergio’s wishes

Sergio comes out from behind to confront Bella about Cruzita. “Itinago mo siya sa akin, sarili kong anak?” Sergio couldn’t believe how Marimar could have hidden this from him for a long time: the fact that they have a child.

Bella insists that Cruzita is her child alone. “Anak mo.” Sergio asks with sarcasm, “Alam mo kung saan ako galing? Hinukay ko ang bangkay ni Marimar.” (Do you know where I’ve been to? I had Marimar’s grave exhumed.)

“Tama na.” Bellas has had enough.

“Ikaw si Marimar.” Sergio tells Bella he knows she is Marimar. She cries, breaking down with all the heartaches of the past.

Monica is shocked that Brenda and the hotel security is accusing Angelika of kidnapping. After they have left, she turns to her friend and asks, “Anong ginawa mo sa anak ni Bella Aldama? Hindi ka ba natatakot? Pwede ka nilang kasuhan!” (What did you do to Bella’s child? Aren’t you at least a bit afraid? They can sue you!)

Angelika looks at Monica seemingly pained. “Pati ba naman ikaw di ka naniniwala sa akin?” (You too, of all people, you don’t believe in me as well?)

Monica is relieved to know it wasn’t Angelika. She mentions that she heard her friend call someone about a job, something related to Angelika seeking vengeance from Bella. Monica thought she had ask the man to kidnap Bella’s child.

Angelika admits she’s quite happy to have one up on Bella despite her not having anything to do with it. She is not curious about Bella’s child as well as who may have done the kidnapping. She invites Monica to think it through with her over drinks, “Halika, uminon tayo. Pagisipan natin.”

Sergio looks straight at Bella edging closer towards her, “Ikaw si Marimar. Ikaw ang asawa ko.” (You are Marimar. You are my wife.) Sergio hugs Bella who cries. He kisses her tenderly on her face and her hair. She continues to sob and tries to push Sergio away.

“Mahal kita, Marimar.” Sergio tells his wife the very thing he never got to tell her all this time but she pushes him further pleading him to stop, “Sergio, Tama na! Tama na.”

Now apart, she tells him, “Huwag mo na kaming guluhin ng anak ko.” (Don’t bother me and my child anymore.)

Sergio wants only one thing, that Marimar admits to Cruzita that he is her father, “Aminin mo na lang ang totoo. Aminin mo na sa anak natin.” (Admit the truth. Admit it to Cruzita.)

Back at the Santibanez Motors, Antonio is blaming Arturo for not coming along with Sergio to wherever he planned on taking the child away. “Bakit di mo sinahalan si Sergio? Baka anong gawin noon.”

Arturo declares that even if he is such a fane of Ate Vi (Vilma Santos is a Filipina actress who is now a Governor of a province in Manila. She starred in the critically acclaimed movie entitled ‘Bulaklak ng City Jail’ about life of women in Philippine prisons)

The gay man adds, “Vilmanian ako pero di ko type maging bulaklak ng city jail.” (I’m a Vilma fan but I don’t want to go to prison.)

Innocencia arrives, “Anong pinag-uusapan ninyo?” asking both men what it is they are discussing.

Marimar insists that Cruzita is only her child and never Sergio’s. “Wala kang karapatan sa anak ko. Aking lang si Cruzita. Aking lang (ang) anak ko!”

Arturo updates Innocencia about what Sergio has done: dig up Marimar’s grave. He found an empty coffin so Marimar could be more probably alive than dead.

Cruzita pleads with her mother, “Mommy please tell me the truth.”

Antonio exclaims how Bella could turn Sergio round her fingers. “Ibang klase din utak ni Bella, pinaikoy niya si Sergio! Pero ngayon buking na siya.” (But now she’s been caught at her game.)

Innocencia looks around feigning innocence when we all know she is in cahoots with Bella in planning all this.

Marimar finally gives in to the truth, “Oo Cruzita, siya ang daddy mo.” She hugs her daughter as tears continue to flow.

Sergio kneels and Cruzita and her father embrace both also giving in to tears of longing and regret for the lost years. Marimar is on the floor crying, confused at how Sergio could tell her he loves her when she was so certain he only used her. He and Angelika just used her because she was the naive Marimar back then.

Angelika and Monica are now at the bar drinking. Monica asks, “Nahanap na kaya ni Bella ang anak niya?” (Has Bella managed to find her lost child?)

Angelika, “Sana hindi.” (I hope not.)

Ang evil, evil mo naman friend! Di ka ba naaawa?” Monica is shocked at Angelika’s cold heart. (You’re pure evil friend! Don’t you at least feel sorry?)

Awa?” Angelika says eyes wide open. She insists that Bella didn’t allow her to play in the casino and insulted her, how could she pity someone like that?

Monica tells her she should be thankful as she no longer has any money left to gamble. She asks he friend, “Anong ipangsusugal mo?” (What are you going to bet?) And this she says in almost a whisper, “Yung kaluluwang ibinigay mo na kay Satanas?” (Your soul which you’ve already sold to Satan?)

Angelika didn’t hear the last part, and asks Monica to say it again. The comic side-kick tells her, “Mansanas, gusto ko kumain ng mansanas!” (Apples, I said I want to eat apples.) and calls the waiter to give her some apples.

Bella breaks Sergio and Cruzita’s embrace and pleads with her husband to leave. “Sergio umalis ka na.

Sergio stands and asks her what she is doing, “Ano bang ginagawa mo, nawala ka ng apat na taon!” She was lost for four years and now she’s a totally different person from the Marimar he knew.

Monica observes that Angelika’s seething anger for Bella is the exact same intensity as she had for Marimar. Coincidental too that both women are look-alikes. Angelika agrees and swears, “May araw di sa akin yang Bella Aldamang yan.”

Marimar insists that Sergio leave and not bother her and Cruzita anymore. He insists that he too has rights, “May karapatan din ako.” (I have rights to her too.)

Nasaan ka nang pinagbubuntis ko si Cruzita?” (Where were you when I was pregnant with her?)

Ikaw, nasaan ka din?” (Where were you too?)

Ako ang tumayong ina at ama ni Cruzita!” (I took the responsibilities of both mother and father.)

Hindi mo ako binigyan ng pagkakataon!” (You never gave me the chance!)

Cruzita is crying, sad to see her parents arguing in front of her. Bella pulls her towards the house and they get in. Sergio calls out to Cruzita promising her that he will come visit her again. Bella closes the door on Sergio who cries his wife and daughter’s name aloud.

The next day, at the Santibanez Motors, Sergio updates his friends and Innocencia about what happened the night before.

Innocencia, “So inamin niya na siya si Marimar?”

Antonio tells Sergio he should get some sort of parental custody over Cruzita being the biological father.

Sergio tells them Marimar is not willing to share Cruzita with him and insists that she is the sole parent of their daughter.

Arturo comments, “Ano yon, parang pinakitaan ka ng kendi tapos di naman pala pwedeng kainin?” (What’s that? It’s like someone showed you a bunch of delicious candies and yet you’re not allowed to eat them!)

Sergio asks Antonio if he knows a really good lawyer. “Kung kailangang idemanda, gagawin ko.” Sergio tells his staff and friend that if he needs to sue Marimar to get his fair rights, she leaves him no other choice. He adds that even if he wants to get angry with Marimar, he cannot because he is happy to have finally found her and their daughter.

Meanwhile, Cruzita refuses to eat. Corazon tells her to eat so she will be strong and healthy. “Gusto mo bang maging sick?” (Do you want to get sick?)

Yes, I want to get sick. Maybe if I got sick, mommy will make me see my daddy already.” Cruzita cries as Bella comes into the dining room.

Bella talks to her daughter. She encourages her to eat. Cruzita tells her, “Siguro hindi mo na ako love. Bakit ayaw mong makita ko ang daddy ko?”

Bella tries hard to make her see reason, that she will not see her father any longer. Cruzita bursts out crying telling Bella she hates her and runs away.

Bella is truly in pain, seeing how her daughter rejects her and prefers to be with her father, Sergio.

Arturo asks Sergio, whether he is sure about suing Marimar. Sergio replies that she leaves him no choice. Arturo asks Sergio, “Si Cruzita ba talaga ang gusto mong mabawi? Paano si Marimar?” (Do you really want Cruzita? What about Marimar?)

Bella finds Innocencia at home and she asks her friend and confidante what she is doing at home? Innocencia thought that now Sergio’s found out about the truth, there’s not point in her keeping up appearances besides Sergio would be furious if he found out about Innocencia.

Marimar tells her that she should keep going to work and continue to be her eyes and ears on Sergio’s camp.

Innocencia tells Marimar that Sergio is determined to get Cruzita. Marimar swears, “Magkakapatayan muna kaming dalawa bago niya makuha ang anak ko.” (Over my dead body!)

Innocencia explains that Sergio is not taking Cruzita away from her, he just wants to share in her upbringing.

Marimar defends herself stating that Cruzita is only hers and hers alone. “Akin lang si Cruzita.”

Innocencia asks her friend to see reason. “Si Sergio and ama ni Cruzita. Masakit man aminin, may karapatan din siya.” (Sergio is Cruzita’s father and whether she likes it or not, he has rights on their daughter too.)

Bella comes up to Cruzita’s room and talks to her daughter who is now calm. “Cruzita anak, galit ka pa ba sa mommy?” (Are you still upset with me?)

Cruzita apologises to her mom, “Sorry mommy, I didn’t mean it when I said I hate you.”

Bella smiles at her daughter and tells her she is too young to understand what really happened between her and her father. She tells her to remember that her father was long gone, left them, and abandoned them. She admits to Cruzita that whenever she sees Sergio, she is reminded of all the pains and heartaches she went through. Bella’s tears come rolling down again and Cruzita tells her mother to stop crying. She tells Bella, “I love you so much.”

Bella tells Cruzita, “Ayaw kong malungkot ka.” (I don’t want you to feel sad.)

Cruzita asks her, “Do you love me too?”

Bella assures her daughter that she loves her very much, indeed. “Ikaw ang pinakamagandang nangyari sa buhay ko. “ (You’re the most beautiful thing that happened in my life.)

But Cruzita’s young mind doesn’t have any biases, “I love my daddy, I want to see him.”

Bella hugs her daughter, in her mind she says, “Patawarin mo ako anak. Hingilin mo lang lahat sa akin, wag lang ang daddy mo.” (Forgive me child, ask me anything except your father.)

Monica and Angelika are back in the hotel and the former is asking the latter that they go and have a meal. “Gutom na ako,” Monica declares she’s hungry.

Angelika tells her they just ate, “Kakakain lang natin!” (We just ate!)

Monica protests, “Alas ocho pa yon, 2 pm na! For your information tatlong beses kumain ang normal na tao.” (That was eight in the morning, it’s not 2 pm! A normal person eats three times a day.)

Angelika snaps at her friend, “Monica, hindi ka normal.” (You’re not normal, Monica.)

Monica gets distracted when she sees a couple of luggage that look exactly like her’s and Angelika’s.

Angelika realises it is indeed their luggage and she stops the bellhop demanding what’s going on.

A hotel staff comes and tells them that their credit is no longer good and must be checked out. He asks the two ladies to leave. Angelika wants to argue when Brenda comes and hands her an envelope with money enough for a night at a hostel. Angelika grabs the money and acts as if to slap her but she moves away and security come to take them out. Even Monica glares at Brenda before leaving.

Brenda calls Bella on the phone to report to her that, “Nagawa ko na po ang ipinag-uutos ninyo.” She’s done what Bella asked her to do.

Sergio arrives at Bella’s house to find it full of security guards. The guards tell him that Bella is not at home.

Bella thanks Brenda for being realiable. She, Cruzita and Corazon are on a van bound for their summer house in Baguio. She tells Cruzita that this is a good time to take a vacation and bond. Cruzita asks why her father is not coming along with them.

Sergio asks the guards if they knew where Bella and Cruzita went but it seems no one knows where they went.

Corazon tells Cruzita to stop being lonely. She tells Cruzita to sleep for a while so she will have energy by the time they get to Baguio but Cruzita’s face is now very sad.

Bella looks at her daughter and makes a decision. She tells the driver to make a U-turn. They are going somewhere else instead.

Sergio arrives at a meeting where her and Antonio are late and they apologise to their business colleagues. Sergio takes Antonio aside and asks his friend to help him by looking for all the houses and summer homes of the Aldamas so they can also locate Marimar and Cruzita.

Antonio tells Sergio to go ahead and sue Marimar but Sergio tells his friend that he won’t push through with it as he knows it will only hurt Cruzita.

Rodolfo and his friend Bruno drop by at Bella’s office only to find her secretary, Rowena. The lady tells the two men that her boss has cancelled all her appointments for the week as she went out of town.

Bruno is surprised at how Bella doesn’t even inform Rodolfo about her plans, given that they are supposed to be engaged.

Rodolfo sulks, “She’s not taking my calls. Feeling ko ginagago niya ako.” (I feel that she is fooling me.)

Sergio is now deep in discussion at the restaurant. Antonio arrives and tells him he’s got a visitor. Sergio turns around to find Cruzita who exclaims, “Daddy!” and happily runs to her father and embrace him.

Sergio kneels down ready to hug his daughter who kisses him. Sergio looks so happy and Antonio tells Cruzita that Sergio has been talking about her all the time. “Walang bukang-bibig yang daddy mo kundi ikaw.”

Bruno tells Rodolfo that perhaps Bella doesn’t want to marry him anymore. They are now standing by the elevator and we can see further down the corridor, Angelika is coming, probably to confront Bella in her office. She stops recognizing Rodolfo.

Corazon arrives too and stands beside Antonio happy to see father and daughter reunited. Sergio looks up and sees Bella in a beautiful, soft pink dress.

Marimar smiles at Sergio and tells him, “Gusto ka kasi makasama at makita ni Cruzita. Siya ang pinaka-importanteng tao sa buhay ko. Gusto ko lagi siyang masaya. Pumapayag na akong maging bahagi ka ng buhay ni Cruzita.” (She wanted to see you. She’s the most important person in my life and I want her to be happy. I'm agreeing to you being a part of Cruzita's life.)

Sergio is relieved and tells Marimar, “Hindi lang si Cruzita and napasaya mo.” (It’s not only Cruzita you’ve made happy.)

Rodolfo tells Bruno that Bella cannot renege on their wedding. He knows her deepest, darkest secrets. Bruno is curious and Rodolfo tells him. He asks his friend if he recalls that masquerade ball when Sergio insisted that Bella is his wife, Marimar. Bruno nods, confirming that he does remember that scene.

Rodolfo confirms, “Bella is Marimar.” This shocks Angelika who’s heard it all.

Marimar Episode 69

Marimar Episode 69 - The one where Cruzita finds out about Sergio

Angelika was told by Brenda, Bella's lady representative at her casino, that she's no longer allowed to play in the casino. "Banned na ho kayo dito sa casino." (You've been banned from the casino.)

"Kelan pa yan?" Angelika inquires disbelieving. (Since when?)

"Ngayon." Brenda flatly replies. (Now.)

Monica arrives having already checked-in their luggage. She finds Angelika quite eager to play going straight for the casino rather than go to their room first. Angelika tells her, "Ayaw na nila ako paglaruin." (They don't want me to play here anymore.)

Monica advises her friend, "Be happy." She reminds her that she's already lost so much money in the casino in the first place, thus it could be a blessing in disguise that she is no longer allowed to play.

But Angelika is adamant, "No." She adds she's been quite insulted and exclaims, "How dare she do this to me!"

"Sinong she?" Monica asks who is the person she is blaming. (She who?)

"Sino pa, eh di ang kontrabida ng buhay ko: si Bella Aldama. Humanda ka sa akin." Angelika blames Bella Aldama for her current situation and threatens to get even.

Diego who is hesitant about killing his former boss chose to leave him instead to the fates. He leaves Renato lying unconscious but alive on a secluded pavement somewhere and runs away.

Sergio updates Arturo about what he has discovered. "Hindi siya patay. Apat na taon niyang itinago. Buhay si Marimar. Siya si Bella Aldama." (She's not dead. She hid it from me for fours years. Marimar is alive. She's Bella Aldama.)

Arturo is still not sure about the whole thing, still thinking that Bella is someone else. Sergio asks why Marimar chose to hide it from him and the driver adds, "Ewan baka hindi ka na niya mahal." (I don't know. Maybe she no longer loves you."

"Arturo, imposible. Saksi ka di ba?" Sergio is not convinced and tells Arturo that the driver himself is witness to how much Marimar loved him.

Brenda tells Angelika to leave the casino. "Senora Santibanez, lumabas na kayo sa casino."

"Bakit?" Angelika demands why.

"Dahil wala na kayong pantaya." Brenda reasons, she no longer have any money to bet.

Angelika moves a step toward Brenda to slap her but hotel security comes to stop her and take her and Monica out of the premises. Angelika struggles and screams as they are forced out.

Back at the hospital, Arturo reasons to Sergio, "Kung talagang mahal ka niya, di ka papahirapan ng ganyan." (If she truly loves you, she won't let you undergo all these hardships.)

Sergio is still convinced that Marimar or Bella rather, still loves him. "Hindi totoo yan." He adds that he must find a way to get inside Cruzita's hospital room.

Angelika and Monica continue to make a scene as they struggle against hotel security taking them out the casino. Angelika declares that this is all Bella Aldama's doing. She curses her and swears she will get even - to Bella and to the rest of her family.

Outside the casino, Monica continues to scream and shout. Angelika realises people can see them so she tells her friend, "Nakakahiya! Huwag kang maingay, kunwari walang nagyayari." (How embarrassing! Stop screaming and pretend that nothing happened.)

Innocencia arrives from the back unseen by Angelika and Monica. She stands beside Brenda as the lady rep reports to her that Angelika no longer has any money, having lost all to the casino. Brenda claims, "Bagsak na" (She's down.) referring to the bankrupt socialite wanna be. Innocencia though reveals, "Malayo pa yan. Marami pang dapat mangyari." (It's still a long way to go. Many things are yet to happen.) Perhaps Innocencia feels a little bit vindicated, having undergone Angelika's evil herself. Remember her scarred face?

Renato still lies in the quite pavement that is actually within the premises of a hospital. A lady (Carmina Villaroel) arrives in what appears to be a staff entrance and sees Renato's body. She goes to him and inspects finding out that he is still alive. She calls a nurse to help her.

Rodolfo arrives with balloons and flowers to visit Cruzita. (Bella should slap him for upsetting her daughter as well as bringing her the bicycle that caused her to be in this accident in the first place!) Bella meets him and allows him inside Cruzita's room.

Not far away Sergio and Arturo watch as they find a way to get inside as well. Arturo makes a snide remark about Sergio's rival, "Nandiyan na naman ang herederon gunggoy na yan!" (That monkey of an heir is there again.)

After her embarrassing scene at the casino, Angelika calls someone, definitely an underground personification of cold heartless evil, telling the man that she has something for him to do. After her call, she smiles and declares she will get back at Bella Aldama. Monica is quite worried asking her "Friend ano na naman ang gagawin mo?" (What are you up to this time?)

Arturo and Sergio wait on the hospital stairwell. Antonio arrives with a package and hands it to Sergio. Inside the bag is a hospital uniform that Sergio quickly changes into. He tells Antonio to wait for his call while instructs Arturo to go have the car ready and wait in the parking lot. Despite their worries at Sergio's impulsive plans, both men agree and support their boss and friend.

Monica asks her friend, "Bakit ba ang hilig mong nambubulabog? Ayaw mo ba ng peace and quiet?" (Why is it that you so like to rock the boat so much? Don't you like peace and quiet?)

Angelika admist, "Gusto" (I want.) But she declares firmly that Bella had wronged her and that now, it's her turn to get back at her. "Kaya ngayon ako naman at di ko siya tatantanan." She vows to not give up easily in her search for revenge.

Sergio is in disguise, looking like one of the hospital staff wearing a surgical mask. He slips into Cruzita's room without much incident and his face softens as he sees the lying child on the bed. He takes a full look at the child who is all probability is his own daughter and he takes her small hand in his. Sergio's eyes glisten as tears begin to form. Bella opens the room and sees the "nurse" inside. She is about to get in when her phone rings. It's her tia Esperanza who is asking about Cruzita. She takes the call outside and leaves the room.

Meantime, Corazon who is inside the room sleeping, wakes up and finds her former ward, "Sir Sergio?"

Renato is now on a hospital bed. A doctor examines him but he remains to be unconscious. The doctor asks the nurse if they have found any information regarding the patient's identity but the nurse declares that the comatose man remains unknown.

Marimar is along the hospital corridors still talking to Esperanza as she updates, "Medyo maayos na po si Cruzita." (Cruzita's condition keeps getting better.)

Inside Cruzita's room, the truth is starting to be revealed.

Sergio, "Ano, anak ba siya ni Bella?"

"Opo, sir Sergio." Corazon admits, yes.

Sergio's tells Corazon a statement of truth rather than a question. "Buhay si Marimar."

Admitting her lie, she starts to be uneasy, "Opo, sir Sergio."
.
"Si Marimar si Bella." Sergio fits the puzzle together.

"Opo sir Sergio." Corazon helps him.

Sergio nods, realising it all. Corazon softly starts to cry. He looks at Cruzita and now he too is close to shedding tears, "Anak ko ba ito?" (Is this my daughter?)

Corazon now cries loudly, feeling guilty at lying to Sergio and admits, "Opo sir Sergio, patawarin nyo po ako sir Sergio." She also asks Sergio to forgive her for having lied to him and deceived him to believing his wife and child have died.

Sergio releases a deep sigh as he leans towards his daughter and gently kisses her hand. He cries, giving in to years of regret and remorse but also smiles having finally found the truth about the person he loves most, she is alive and they have a daughter. Corazon sees all this and get very emotional.

Cruzita stirs, moves to her side and Sergio leans closer, kissing her back. He burries his face in her hair. He wipes his tears as he stands up, happy and calm now.

After her phone talk with her aunt, a nurse comes to Bella and tells her that the doctor wants to see her. Bella goes to see the doctor who tells her the good news about Cruzita. The child's CT scan shows that she does not have any internal injuries meaning, she does not have any fracture on her head or spinal cord.

Back in Cruzita's room, Corazon is now standing and looks quite puzzled. Cruzita's bed is empty and she's looking around as if looking for her. She calls in Rodrigo, one of their security detail to tell him that she just went to the restroom and when she came out, Cruzita is no longer there. Corazon is in tears but we wonder is she helped Sergio escape with his daughter.

Rodrigo runs to Bella who is still talking with the doctor. He tells her about Cruzita and she runs to her daughter's room.

Inside she finds the guards and Corazon who is loudly crying. Bella panics and demands from the nanny where her daughter is. Corazon tells her the same story she told Rodrigo earlier and now Bella lashes at all of them, "Ang tatanga nyo!" (You're all stupid!) "Ni hindi ninyo nakitang may pumasok dito?" (You didn't even see someone sneak past you and enter the room?) Bella orders them all to find her daughter and the guards all leave and do her bidding.

She again asks Corazon, "Bakit mo pinabayaan si Cruzita?" (Why did you let her get out of your sight?) Corazon explains that she loves Cruzita like her own and would never left if she knew she'd be in danger. "Mahal na mahal ko po si Cruzita. Parang anak ko na yon. Hindi ko po sinasadya. Hindi ko po mapapatawad ang sarili ko." She declares she'd never forgive herself is anything bad happened to Cruzita.

But Bella continues to fear the worse, asking "Nasaan na ang anak ko? Sabi ko sa iyo, bantayan mo si Cruzita." (Where is my daughter? I told you to look after her.)

Bella calls Innocencia and tells her about Cruzita. Innocencia is shocked as she relays the same to Brenda who is beside her. Brenda suspects Angelika could have a hand in this as she recalls earlier how she threatened to seek revenge from Bella and had no qualms about including Bella's loved ones in her search for vengeance.

Brenda tells Innocencia about Angelika's threat. Innocencia asks why Bella didn't tell her about this earlier. Brenda admits she didn't expect Angelika would do anything and not this quickly. But Innocencia, knowing how evil Angelika could become confirms Brenda's suspicion ordering the lady representative to go and find Angelika quickly.

Brenda is now face to face with Angelika and Monica who are surrounded by security men. Brenda asks directly, "Nasaan ang anak ni Bella Aldama?"

Angelika is shocked at her question, but she admits doesn't have any idea about any daughter and retaliates by adding, "Buti nga sa kanya!" (Serves her right!)

Brenda tells her to come with them for further questioning but Angelika declines. She tells the representative that they have no proof, no case and thus no reason to keep her. She even dares to call the police knowing that they cannot pin this one on her and thus cannot really do anything. Brenda and her security men leave the two friends.

Bella arrives home still in terrible worry as she thinks about ways to find her daughter. She stops and gets surprised when she sees Cruzita on the steps of their home. She runs to hug her daughter, "Cruzita anak, kala ko di na kita makikita, nag-alala ako sa iyo." (I thought I'd never see you again. You got me quite worried.)

Cruzita tells her mother, "May nalaman po ako nung nawala ako. Alam ko na po kung sino ang totoo kong daddy." She found out something while she went missing. She found the truth about her father.

She wants her mother to confirm this, "Totoo ba na ang daddy ko si Daddy Sergio?" Whether Sergio is her real father.

But Bella brushes this off telling her daughter that isn't really important. "Di na kailangan malaman iyon. Ang importante tayong dalawa." What's important is that she and Cruzita are together.

However the child wants to know more about her father, "Pero gusto ko makasama ang daddy ko." and wants to spend time with him too.

Bella remains silent and from behind, a familiar voice asks her the same thing, "Bakit di mo masabi sa kanya?" (Why can't you tell her the truth?)

Bella looks up and she finds her husband who has now found out the truth and had listened to her and Cruzita's conversation. "Sergio..."

Marimar Episode 68

Marimar Episode 68 – The one where Sergio digs up Marimar’s grave

Sergio comes to the bed where Cruzita lies unconsciously. He comes upon a hospital staff changing the bed sheets whom he asks about Cruzita’s whereabouts. The man tells him she’s been sent to the X-ray room.

Somewhere in the hotel, Bella and Cruzita have taken the remaining private room. She requests for additional security.

Corazon talks to Bella who is still quite shaken about the whole experience. “Wag kang magalit nako...” (Please don’t be upset with me...)

Ano yon,” Bella asks Corazon to tell her what’s in her mind.

Mag-gives lang ako ng advise nimo para kay Cruzita.” (I’d like to give you a piece of advise regarding Cruzita.)

When Bella remains silent, the plump woman continues, “Ayaw na ba talaga nimo ipakilala si Cruzita sa papa niya?” (Are you really never going to introduce Cruzita to her father?) Corazon adds that at times like this, the child would need her father too. It would also help Bella carry a burden such as this and not be all alone.

Bella is not angry but she is quick to reply, “Kaya ko mag-isa” (I can manage alone.)

But Corazon still hopes for some kind of reconciliation as she asks, “Di ba mas OK kung alam din ni Sergio?”

Marimar snuffs all hopes from her nanny as she insists, “Magugulo lang.” She also notes this time, it is not just her who can get hurt but Cruzita as well. She tells Corazon to drop the subject of Sergio as this is the last time she is ever going to discuss this with her.

Arturo has arrived at the hospital and bumps into Sergio. The racer tells his gay friend to help him find Corazon as he is certain she is key to the puzzle about Bella Aldama, Fulgoso and the hurt child he has taken to this hospital.

A nurse tells Bella that Dr. Atienza wants to see her. Bella leaves a sad Corazon to look after Cruzita. Along the hospital corridors, Bella walks into Sergio who is going the opposite direction is search oc Corazon.

Bella?”

Anong ginagawa mo dito?” (What are you doing here?)

May binisita akong staff ko. Ikaw?” (I visited one of my staff. You?) Sergio didn’t admit that he was the one who took Cruzita. Why did he hide that fact?

May check-up ako.” (I’ve got a check up)

May sakit ka ba?” (Are you ill?)

Hindi ko pa alam. Wala akong panahon Sergio.” (I don’t know yet. I don’t have the time Sergio.) Bella makes to leave but Sergio stops her.

May itinatago ka ba sa akin? Bakit ba tuwing nakikita mo ako, nagkakaganyan ka? Parang di ka mapakali. Meron ba akong kailangang malaman?” (Are you keeping something from me? Why is it that each time you see, you act strangely, like you are nervous of something? Is there anything I need to know?)

Bella remains silent, not knowing what to say as well as thinking of a plan to avoid bumping into Sergio. After a pause she answers, “Wala.” (Nothing)

Sigurado ka?” (Are you sure?)

I don’t have time for this!” She blurts out and adds that if he keeps questioning her in this way she’d be forced to call the police for help.

Just then, the press had found Bella Aldama and they gang up on her throwing several questions at a time. One reporter asks, “Miss Aldama totoo po bang na-aksidente daw ang anak ninyo?” Bella doesn’t answer but quickly moves away from Sergio fearing he overheard too much already. The press follow her.

Sergio is left digesting the reporter’s question. Bella has a child, who figured in an accident. He just brought in what he remembered as Corazon’s ward, Cruzita who got hit by a taxi while on her bike. Corazon appearing with what looked like Fulgoso, Marimar’s loyal dog. It was all too much to take but now, his doubts are starting to take form into some sort of answer to a nagging question.

Sergio goes to the reception and asks the attendant which room Cruzita Aldama is in. The nurse asks for some identification and he tells her that he is the child’s father (right on the spot Serj!) The nurse tells him she’s in room 309. He makes his way there but find that it is heavily guarded and so he was unable to enter the room.

Nicandro calls Angelika and tells her that Renato had escaped. Angelika is enraged and turns on Monica who asked her, “Ano friend tuloy ba pa-spa natin?” (Are we going to the spa?)

Pa-spa mong mukha mo no!” And she lashes on her friend telling how everyone is such a screw up and totally useless. “Puro kayo palpak, mga walang silbi!”

Renato still holding Nicandro’s gun stops from running and rests for a while in a grassy area where he uses some really thin trees for cover (not very effective to hide in!) He looks tired and terrified at the same time.

Sergio goes to Rodolfo. “San Inez!” The latter is in the middle of a business meeting but Sergio barges in uncaring.

Kay aga-aga mong sinisira ang araw ko Santibanez.” (It's so early for you to be pestering me.)

Ano ba ang nalalaman mo kay Bella na hindi mo sinasabi?” (What do you know about Bella that you're not telling me?)

Madami,” Rodolfo leers, “Madaming-madami!” intruiging Sergio more. (A lot, a whole damn lot!)

Sergio demands that he tell him the truth but Rodolfo’s lips remain sealed and tells the racer to ask Bella instead.

Sergio leaves, still in the dark and more determined to get to the bottom of all this mystery that is Bella Aldama.

Renato looks around making sure no one sees him, at least no one who can recognize him, but he sees Angelika’s 4-wheel drive by causing him to run off again.

Bella calls Innocencia who apparently is still Sergio’s employee. She asks Innocencia whether Sergio has mentioned anything about her.

Meantime, Antonio and Sergio are on the phone with Antonio filling-up Sergio what he has managed to find out about Bella. He tells him that all the he could find about her are fairly recent, from only about 4 years back. She doesn’t even seem to have a birth certificate. Antonio adds, “Para siyang singaw na lumabas lang 4 years ago.” (She's like this pimple that popped out of nowhere!)

Bella relates to Innocencia how Sergio kept asking her what it is she’s been keeping from him. She is afraid that he is onto her now. She asks Innocencia to query Sergio what he knows but her friend advises her to not make any more queries as this can be more dangerous and they may even accidentally give more than get from Sergio any information. It may even cause Sergio to get more suspicious than he already is.

Angelika and Diego ask directions to De Joya Mental Facility and a resident points them to the right direction. Back in their vehicle Angelika spots Renato running who also stops for a few seconds, recognizing their 4-wheel drive. Angelika orders Diego back in the car quick and tells Nicandro, who is driving to follow Renato. She tells Nicandro to run Renato over, “Sagasaan mo!” (Run him over!)

Antonio comments that they are like going against a brick wall in search of any information about Bella Aldama’s past. Sergio stops and thinks about things and he loudly shares them to Antonio - the child that Corazon is nanny of, the one he gave the cotton candy to, and the same one he drove to the hospital; Corazon who also told him about his wife Marimar being dead; Bella and Corazon being in the same hospital at the same time – it all leads to something that he knows Bella is hiding from him and he builds an idea in his mind, something he must do to be certain.

Bella tells Corazon to go home and get some stuff for Cruzita who is still unconscious. She cautions the latter to be extra careful and make sure no one has followed her, especially Sergio.

Antonio advises him to find Corazon and talk to her. Sergio tells Antonio that he will call him back as soon as he finds out.

The vehicle with Angelika and her thugs finally overtake Renato as he slows down from exhaustion. Nicandro runs him over and he is falls down blood on his head. Angelika smiles as she gets out of the car.

Diego, Nicandro and Angelika stand looking down on Renato who is almost at the brink of passing out. Diego asks whether they are taking him to the hospital. Angelika snaps at him, “Ano ako gaga? Kaya na ako umuwi dito dahil papatayin ko yan tapos tutulungan ko?” (What am I crazy? The reason I came back here is so that I can get rid of him for good. Now you want me to help him?)

Nicandro tells her, “Maam humihinga pa!” (He's still breathing)

Angelika gives Diego a big surprise, “Diego, ikaw ang gusto kong tumapos kay Renato.” (Diego, I want you to kill Renato.)

Sergio is at Marimar’s grave and he apologises to his wife and daughter telling them out loud that he just has to do this.

Innocencia asks Corazon who is now home, how Cruzita is. Corazon tells her that she’s been asked by Bella to get some stuff for Cruzita and also take Fulgoso home as pets aren’t allowed in the hospital.

Innocencia tells her that she needs to talk to Bella and Corazon tells her that she can call Bella. She appears shaken and worried but if it’s urgent, she can probably call. Corazon adds, “Nataranta kasi nakita si Sergio.” (She panicked because she ran into Sergio.)

The doctor is talking to Bella telling her that her daughter is fine. She didn’t really have many broken bones save for her fractured right hand which is now placed in cast and will heal in time.
Diego is shocked to hear what Angelika is asking of him and hesitates. She threatens to separate him and Monica if he doesn’t do it and he acquiesces. Angelika reminds him to do his job well as she hands him the gun.

Sergio asks the help of the cemetery’s caretaker to dig up Marimar’s grave. At first the caretaker tells him that it is illegal but Sergio managed to bribe him and he cooperates. Sergio is apprehensive as he watches the digging man.

Back at the hospital, the doctor tells Bella that Cruzita needs to have a CT-scan to check for internal injuries. Bella tells him to do all they can to ensure that Cruzita gets out of danger. She thanks the doctor as he leaves.

Nicandro and Angelika leave Diego alone to finish off Renato.

Sergio gets impatient as he picks the shovel and helps the man dig.

Cruzita is still unconscious in the hospital. Bella looking worried takes her daughter’s hand.

Sergio’s shovel hits the coffin.

Bella stands beside Cruzita’s bed as she looks on her daughter. The one she is hiding from Sergio.

Sergio clears the earth from his wife’s coffin. He takes a moment to pause and offer prayers then he opens it. It is empty.

He smiles and says, “Buhay sila.” (They’re alive.)

He gets up from the dug grave onto level ground and hands the caretaker some money. He leaves the empty grave, with a piece of the puzzle solved.

Innocencia calls Bella. She asks about Cruzita and Bella tells her that she’s still unconscious and needs to undergo a CT-scan. Innocencia asks her about her encounter with Sergio which Bella admits and adds that she had added more security to ensure Sergio does not get inside Cruzita’s room.

Innocencia tells he that Brenda called and reported that the casino is ready for Angelika’s return.

Bella tells Innocencia that this encounter with Sergio has truly shaken her. She is thinking about going away with Cruzita to a place where they will be far from Sergio. Innocencia blurts out that she pities the man, “Kawawa naman siya.” (Poor Sergio)

Marimar reminds her friend that Innocencia had always been her strength to ensure she gets her revenge, “Di ba ikaw ang nagbibigay ng lakas para isakatuparan ang mga plano ko laban kay Sergio?” Bella asks her, why pity him now after all the planning they've done.

Innocencia admits, that she is sad that everything just went down to this. “Nalulungkot lang ako na dito lang nauwi ang lahat.”

Diego pulls Renato to a deserted house and plans to execute his former boss. He stops and admits to himself that he cannot do it. He cannot kill Renato.

Corazon is back at the hospital and bumps into Arturo. He follows her as she walks quickening her pace until she reached Cruzita’s room. Guards are in place and only Bella and Corazon are allowed inside.

Angelika is back at the casino. The dealer tells her that she can no longer play as she’s banned. “Hoy VIP ako dito no.” Angelika snaps at the dealer as Brenda arrives. She thought Brenda would clear things up for her but instead, the hotel rep says, “Bawal ka na dito, banned ka na as per the instructions of Miss Bella Aldama.”

Arturo and Sergio meet outside the hospital with the former shocked at Sergio’s dirty clothing and arms. “Boss, anong nangyari sa inyo?” Inquires Arturo and Sergio happily replies, “Buhay si Marimar.”

He tells Arturo to follow his lead as he asks for the number of exits around the hospital. He instructs his friend to take the back as he covers the front.

Marimar Episode 67

Marimar Episode 67 - The one where Sergio saves Cruzita

The three are in Sergio's office. Bella demands that Rodolfo tell her what he told Sergio. San Inez asks Sergio to do the honors and tells Bella exactly what he told her. Sergio reveals that Rodolfo is interested in investing in his next business venture. But Sergio is curious and asks both what is it that he needs to know that prompts a visit from Bella.

Bella appears relieved that Rodolfo has not told Sergio anything. Rodolfo asks Bella to come with him as they have important things to discuss. She is forced to go with Rodolfo to keep him from telling Sergio anything about her or her daughter.

Sergio is left thinking about the whole discussion, his interest piqued.

Angelika tells Nicandro to get Renato out of the asylum and kill him.

Bella and Rodolfo are now in Rodolfo's car and the former is asking the latter why he withheld what he knew from Sergio. Rodolfo tells her that he wouldn't want Sergio, his greatest rival, to know anything about her if she would agree to marry him this time. Bella hesitates telling Rodolfo that she has no feelings for him. He doesn't seem to mind and to further coerce her into agreement, he dangles the possibility of Cruzita's identity being discovered by Sergio; the pain and anguish of losing one's daughter. This seems to seal the deal as Bella agrees to his proposal and stresses, "Wala siyang dapat malaman." (He musn't know anything.)

Rodolfo commends Bella, claiming she made a wise decision in choosing him for her husband. He patronises her, "Maganda na, matalino pa...what more can I ask for?" (Beautiful, smart...) He leans in towards Bella and hugs her, happy to finally win her back, as well as her fortunes.

Bella and Innocencia talk and Marimar tells how she is able to stop Rodolfo from telling Sergio by agreeing to marry him. Innocencia doesn't totally agree with Marimar's decision telling her that if she were to choose between the lesser evil, it would be better for everyone if she got back with Sergio. "Mas maigi nga bumalik na si Sergio sa buhay ninyo ni Cruzita."

But Marimar's one track, stubborn decision to stay away from her past and the man who hurt her remains infallible. "Sinaktan na ako ni Sergio noon. Akala ko mamamatay na ako pero nakabangon ako at nalagpasan ko iyon. Maayos na kami ni Cruzita ngayon." (Cruzita and I are better off without Sergio, who hurt me so much I thought I'd die.)

Innocencia points out her other option, which she is not totally buying into, "Pakakasalan mo si Rodolfo?" (So you will marry Rodolfo?)

Marimar thinks it's the right thing to do, "Kung iyon ang kailangan." (If that is what it takes...)

Renato talks with his young friend. The young man advises him to try and contact his son, perhaps he can help Renato. The elder Santibanez tells the young man the truth, that he is not close with his son, which he totally regrets. "Malayo na ang anak ko at sinuka na ako noon." (He is too distant from me and probably wants nothing to do with me.) His friend asks him, what if he gets a second chance. Renato did not hesitate in his reply. "Aayusin ko ang pagsasama namin. Mas magiging mabuti akong ama sa kanya." (I'd fix our relationship and be a better father.)

"Fulgosi" Fulgoso's ex-girlfriend calls him. He comes out and she doesn't mind that they broke up, she just wants to share her special imported milk with him. Fulgoso takes gulps from her bowl and exclaims, "This is good!"

Rodolfo visits the Aldamas and Bella is not around. He seems to be making an effort to get close to Cruzita and he offers her a brand new bike. He introduces himself, "I'm a friend of your mom." Cruzita eyes the bike with increasing interest but appears to be wary of the man she doesn't know well. She says, "Di ko naman birthday ah." (It's not my birthday).

(Cruzita's reaction to Rodolfo is wary and guarded, unlike how she reacted towards Sergio whom she also met for the first time but offered him several kisses in exchange for a cheap cotton candy treat. Ito ba ang tinatawag na 'lukso ng dugo'? Sige na nga! Siguro mahilig lang din si Cruzita sa pogi, hehehehe no offence to Mr. M. Agustin and his fans!)

Rodolfo tries to explain, "Ang mommy mo at ako, magpapakasal na, so from now on you can call me daddy." Cruzita starts to feel stressed at the stranger's revelations and claims, "No, may daddy na ako eh." (I already have a daddy.) The little girl starts to cry when Corazon comes by the sala. She is alarmed that Cruzita is crying and runs to her ward.

Nicandro arrives at the loony pit to collect Renato. The elder Santibanez appeared happy that he is finally leaving the mad house.

Corazon asks Rodolfo what she told the child to make her cry. She shoos him away to calm Cruzita but at first Rodolfo doesn't seem to understand. Corazon repeats it loudly telling Rodolfo to leave, "Mag-alis ka na sir! Kung hindi magtawag ako ng pulis." (Sir please leave or else I'll call the police) Fulgoso also comes to her aid and barks at Rodolfo who throws them as mean look as he leaves. Corazon hugs the crying Cruzita and tries her best to calm her down.

Renato is taken by the three henchmen, Mike, Diego and the ring leader Nicandro to an unfamiliar place. He notices and calls their attention, "Saan tayo pupunta? Di ito papuntang Villa Santibanez." Nicandro tells him to take it easy, "Easy ka lang." But Renato starts to get alarmed and demands, "Saan nyo ba ako dadalhin?" in a louder voice, laced with panic.

Corazon calls Bella about the incident with Rodolfo and tells her Cruzita is very upset at the news Rodolfo imparted her - that they are getting married.

Cruzita takes her new bike out on the street with her. She is still crying as she declares, "Di na ako love ni mommy, mas gusto pa niya si Rodolfo." (Mom doesn't love me anymore, she prefers Rodolfo.) So she decides to run away.

Renato is pushed by Nicadro so that he is down on the ground. The latter pulls a gun and points it at his former boss. Renato asks them to remove his ties. "Kung papatayin mo na rin lang naman ako, pwede ba kalagan nyo muna ako?" Diego supports Renato's request and reasons that it is a dying man's last request. He has been kind to them so why not allow him this last favor?

Bella gets home and goes straight in Cruzita's room with Corazon and Innocencia. It is locked. She knocks calling her daughter's name but nobody answers. She asks Corazon to go and get the key to the room.

Sergio is driving in his car and is talking to Antonio on his cell phone. He wants this friend to go dig everything they can find out about Bella Aldama. He suspects that Rodolfo knows something about her which he is using to rein her in. He wants to know what it is. Cutting the conversation he declares out loud, "Bella Aldama, magkakaalaman din tayo. Di kita pakakawalan." (Bella Aldama we'll soon find out about you. I'm not letting you off that easily.)

Corazon comes with the key and gives it to Bella who opens Cruzita's room. It is empty. "Wala rito si Cruzita," Bella exclaims. Her daughter is not inside.

Renato repeats his request, "Nicandro kung papatayin mo rin lang ako, bigyan mo naman ako ng konting dignidad, hindi yung nakatali ako parang hayop." (Nicandro, if you are going to kill me, leave me some respect, don't let me die tied up like some kind of animal.) Diego agrees and asks Nicandro to allow it. Besides what can Renato do, there is three of them against only him.

Cruzita is riding her bike still upset about what she just found out when a a white taxi with a green stripe turns on the curb straight into her. The girl screams.

Bella, Innocencia and Corazon run outside the house and look for her in the ground and on the street. Innocencia notices that her bike is no where to be found, meaning it is possible she rode off with it.

Cruzita is bloodied by the grassy area near the corner-sidewalk where she got thrown from her collision with the taxi. Her bike is a total wreck. Bystanders and witnesses are surrounding her and the taxi driver who had hit her. Sergio's car stops at the intersection when he sees that no one is attending to the fallen child. He picks her up and asks for directions to the nearest hospital. He tells the crowd to wait for parents who may come looking for the child and tell them which hospital he has taken her. He also reminds the taxi driver to wait for the police as he rushes Cruzita to the Monte Blanco hospital.

Bella is clearly in panic mode now that Cruzita is nowhere to be seen. Corazon is certain that despite riding on her bike, the child has not gone that far. Bella asks her to go and get the driver as they may be able to track her and hopefully catch up with her. To Innocencia she says, "Pag may nangyaring masama kay Cruzita, walang ibang sisisihin kundi ako," worry etched on her faced and guilt as well as she blames herself for whatever is happening to Cruzita right now.

Nicandro, keeping the gun pointed at Renato gives in and tells Diego to remove the ties binding their former boss. In a split second, Renato grabs Mike as he kicks Diego. He subdues Mike and confronts Nicandro.

Bella passes by Cruzita's bike and the van halts letting Corazon and Bella out. They fear the worst seeing the bike and search around for Cruzita.

After the struggle with Nicandro, Renato is able to snatch his gun and now points it at the three thugs. He runs away from them as fast as he can.

One of the bystanders tell them a man had taken the child to the Monte Blanco hospital. They rush to the same place.

The nurse if completing a report about Cruzita and asks Sergio whether he is the father. (Yes he is but he doesn't know it!) Sergio says no and explains he just saw her and was the one who took her to the hospital. The nurse wonders what her name is.

Nicandro, Mike and Diego run after Renato and stop after some distance wondering where the elder Santibanez had gone. "Saan kaya nagsuot yon. Hanapin ninyo," Nicandro instructs the other two, "Kung hindi patay na naman tayo kay Senora." They separate to cover more ground. Unknown to them, Renato was just a short distance from them and as soon as the three men have gone further, he makes his escape in the opposite direction.

Bella arrives at the hospital and asks the nurse where the little girl that got hit by a taxi is taken. The nurse points her to the right direction but the guard stops Corazon and Fulgoso from entering any further, telling them that dogs and any pets are not allowed inside the hospital. Corazon understands and escorts Fulgoso outside.

Bella goes to a still unconscious Cruzita and inspects her. She apologises to her daughter for having scolded her earlier.

Arturo is in the office and gets a call from Sergio who tells him about the accident he got caught up with. Sergio mentions too that the child looks familiar, remembering Corazon's ward. "Namumukhaan ko ang bata, kasama ni Corazon. Alaga ata." He tells Arturo to come and meet him at the hospital.

After his talk with Arturo, Sergio sees Corazon with Fulgoso. He saw Fulgoso go inside a van and drive away but Corazon whom he calls to did not hear him as the plump woman hurries back inside the hospital.

Sergio follows her.

The doctor arrives at Cruzita's bed and talks to Marimar. He tells her that Cruzita needs to undergo a series of x-rays to check for possible internal injuries. The doctor tells her, "Buti na lang may nagdala agad sa kanya dito." (Good thing someone brought her here immediately.) Marimar asks, "Sino ho?" (Who?)

Sergio asks the guard is he's seen a plump woman with dark skin walk in, describing Corazon and the guard nods his head in recognition, pointing the direction where the said woman went. Sergio follows his finger and it points to where the doctor is speaking with Marimar, by Cruzita's bed.

On set Richard Gomez, Dingdong Dantes and director, Joyce Bernal enjoy a break.
