Marimar Episode 87 – The One Where Marimar Gets Kidnapped
Aired in the UAE on 18th December 2007
Sergio threatens Marimar about taking Cruzita abroad and far away from him. After all the child is also his daughter to which Marimar vehemently denies that he has any claims.
Angelika smokes outside the house. She’s seen by a tattooed man playing a game of cards with his friends from across the road. Even if he is already with a girl beside him, he likes what he sees in Angelika and calls her attention, “Psst....Sexy, baka gusto mong tumable muna dito?” (Hey Sexy, perhaps you want to join our table for a while?) Angelika stops for a split second, sees a possibility and crosses the road to join the men.
Renato is helped by a nurse from his bed onto a wheelchair. He asks for Dr. Ria but the nurse tells him that she is not coming. He sits, disappointed as the nurse takes him for a tour around the hospital.
Angelika is now with the group but acts as if she is better than any of them telling tattoed guy, “Hoy hindi ako aso para sutsutan mo! Pero tama nga sinabi mo, sexy nga ako, di tulad ng kasama mo.” (I’m not a dog, the way you called me! But you’re right, I’m indeed sexy, unlike that one beside you.)
The girl tries to stand up and protest but Angelika cuts her off. Tattooed guy appears elated, excited, “Yan ang gusto ko, palaban!” (That’s what I like, a fighter!)
Angelika replies, “Ako gusto ko madaming pera.” (Me I like one with lots of money.) She smiles at the man with many tattoos who appears to be their leader and snaps at the other girl to leave. She joins Mr. Tattoo and the men as they continue playing.
The nurse tells Renato about Dr. Ria, how he has an uncanny resemblance to her ex-boyfriend, Ronaldo who has passed away a few years before. Renato listens attentively, intrigued by the mysterious and beautiful doctor.
Marimar thanks Rodolfo for bringing her home after her confrontation with Sergio at the Aldama’s building lobby. Rodolfo sighs, “Grabe talaga si Sergio!” (Wow, that Sergio is surely something!) He shows concern for Bella worried about the threats Sergio made. Marimar assures Rodolfo that she can take care of herself. “Kaya ko (ang) sarili ko.”
Meanwhile, Cruzita, who is in her room, protests about her mother’s plan of going abroad to her yaya Corazon. She doesn’t want to go especially, she doesn’t want to leave her father or be away from him. Corazon assures her that soon she will find friends in America and her mother will be with her.
In the Santibanez Motors (SM) office, Arturo talks to Sergio who seems to be quite agitated about something lately. The race-car driver doesn’t want Marimar and Cruzita to live far away. He is against them living in the United States while he is in the Philippines.
Angelika has found a new man. She slept with the tattooed guy and found out his name is Carlitos, a petty thug who is into all things illegal – kidnapping, robbery, drugs – which delights the villain in her. She asks him if he and his men can help her have someone kidnapped.
Rodolfo takes his leave from Marimar who is intrigued at how quickly he has seemed to have forgotten their fiasco of a wedding. She teases him, “May date ka?” (Do you have a date?) He only gives her a mysterious smile as he kisses her cheeks and leaves.
Corazon may not agree with Marimar’s decision but she still helps convince her ward that this is for the best. She tells the child that Marimar doesn’t want her and her father to have any form of contact. It may be to protect her…something she will later understand when she has grown up. Cruzita whines that it is unfair. She feels for her ward as she gives her a piece of good advice, telling Cruzita to pray that her parents get back together if she wants to have them all living near each other.
Sergio shares with Arturo that he will surely make some plans to stop Marimar and Cruzita from leaving the country. Arturo is worried that Marimar will have him sent to prison again. Sergio doesn’t care, what’s important to him is to win back Marimar and to have both mother and child back with him. He stands up and leaves prompting Arturo to ask, “Boss, saan ka pupunta?” (Where are you going?)
It is night time in the Aldama home and Bella looks like she just came from a workout wearing light blue sweat pants and dark blue sleeveless top. She’s by the porch and her security detail are roaming about the grounds. A man lurks by the bushes and hits a security guard in the head. He makes his move towards Bella as two more men, looking like his accomplices make their appearance, similarly neutralizing the other security guards. The third accomplice grabs Marimar and puts a cloth with sleeping gas over her face. She tries to struggle but loses consciousness as they take her away.
Arturo is worried about Sergio’s state of mind. He tells Antonio that Sergio left in a hurry looking like he wants another confrontation with Marimar. The gay driver is also worried that something about Sergio’s current behavior might lead him to do something rash that could affect Marimar and Cruzita.
It is the morning after and in the Aldama home, Corazon questions the three guards. She suspects them to have been drinking the night before, gotten very drunk and passed out. The guards deny this accusation. Everyone wonders who took their employer – Marimar is still missing.
Marimar wakes up and she discovers that she is tied up in both her hands and feet plus gagged in her mouth so she couldn’t talk or scream. She tries to scream anyway, calling for help, struggling to free herself from the ropes that bind her.
Corazon calls Rodolfo who seems to be in good terms with Marimar (why didn’t she call Sergio instead?) and appears to be the man Marimar trusts and tells him that she has been abducted. He asks her how it happened.
Marimar is able to get her gag off and she kicks a window open to scream for help. “Tulungan nyo ako!”
Corazon relays to Rodolfo what happened. She woke up and made breakfast for the family. She went to Bella to wake her but found that she is not in her room. Rodolfo asks Corazon if she has tried calling Bella on her cell phone. The plump cook replies that all Bella’s things – bag, cell phone – are in the house. Surely she would not leave without them.
Back at the SM office Antonio and Arturo are still worried about Sergio. The former recalls how he kidnapped Cruzita when she was taken to the hospital before – just so Sergio could force Bella to admit that she is indeed Marimar.
At the Aldama home, Rodolfo calls all the security guard and questions them about what happened the previous night.
Marimar sees a man by the window who tells her she can scream all she wants but no one would hear or help her. She asks him who he is, “Sino ka?”
He tells her that he is just someone who is following orders, “Napagutusan lang ho,” Marimar asks him who is giving the orders. “Sino nag-utos?”
At the SM office both Antonio and Arturo are worried why Sergio is still not in for work. He left in a sour mood the day before with intent to stop Marimar and Cruzita from leaving the country. They fear what he has done towards that end and where did he go.
Angelika and her new beau, Carlitos are snuggling and cuddling. He exclaims how she smells really good and how he stirs passion in him despite her scarred face. “Ang bango mo! Parang tinamaan ako, mabango eh! Kakagigil ka. Sayang may peklat na (ang) mukha mo pero ‘pag madilim naman eh, din a kita.” He adds this is not a problem when the lights are turned off.
Angelika asks him about her request to have someone kidnapped, whether he’s already done it.
Marimar asks the man again, who gave the orders to have her kidnapped. He evades the question telling her she will find out in time, “Makikilala mo rin siya.” His phone rings and he talks to someone. After their conversation, Marimar asks him whether that caller is the one who had her nabbed. He doesn’t reply. Marimar tells him, “Gusto ko siya makausap.” That she wants to talk to whoever ordered this. She seethes with anger as she curses, “Hayop siya. Hayop siya!”
Police have now arrived at Bella’s home to investigate. They begin by talking to Rodolfo and Corazon taking their statements about what happened.
Carlitos assures Angelika that will all be done in good time but the important thing for now is how Angelika is going to pleasure him. “Easy ka lang, isipin mo muna how to make me happy.” Angelika smiles, evil schemes running in her head as she acquiesces Carlitos. She further asks, “If I make you happy, will you take Marimar to hell?”
Kidnapper thug calls someone on the cell phone and addresses him as “sir”. He tells “sir” that he has done all that he ordered.
Sergio arrives at SM office but is not ready to work. He instead calls a man on the phone telling the man that he wants to have Marimar and him alone together so they can have a talk, just by themselves.
In Bella’s house, police and Rodolfo talk. The latter wants to alert the media who can help spread information that may lead to them finding Bella but the police are hesitant. They don’t want to tick the kidnappers who have yet to make their demands.
Sergio prepares to leave again. The two concerned friends ask their boss is he had patched things up with Marimar. He is evasive with his reply, not giving any details to his two closest pals.
Marimar tries to escape but one of the thugs guarding her catches her before she makes any progress.
Cruzita is crying, looking for her mother. Corazon tries hard to calm her down but is unsuccessful.
Fifi asks Fulgoso what’s all this fuss about Marimar. Fulgoso tells her she’s gone missing. He adds that he wants to go out there and search for his mistress and he has good sense of smell and would easily recognize Marimar by her smell. “Gusto kong lumabas para hanapin si Marimar. Malakas pang-amoy ko at kabisado ko ang amoy ni Marimar.”
Fifi not totally getting it, seems shocked that Marimar smelled! “Ano, may amoy si Marimar?!”
In the “safehouse” where Marimar is kept, one of the thugs tells her to relax. He assured her that that they will not hurt her. In fact, one of their prime orders is to treat her well. “Kabilin-bilinan na alagaan kang mabuti.” (Oh no, did Sergio order Marimar’s kidnapping?)
Cruzita is inconsolable. She wants to talk to her mother. Corazon is at a loss, she doesn’t know what to do.
Fulgoso replies that before Marimar smelled of shellfish now she smells like flowers…expensive flowers. “Dati amoy talangka. Ngayon amoy bulaklak, na mamahalin.”
The kidnapper continues to talk to Marimar telling her that despite her efforts there is no one around to hear her scream. It would be better for her if she calmed down and wait for “sir” to arrive.
Rodolfo help Corazon in keeping Cruzita calm but she continues to look for her mother. He promises that he will do all he can so Cruzita and her mom will be together.
Marimar continues to be defiant despite the thug’s effort to calm her down. She screams, “Hayop kayo!” (You are all animals!) This ires the kidnapper so he pushes Marimar back down the bed with more intended force.
A while later the thug returns to give Marimar some food. She kicks the tray spilling food all over. The thug gets really angry, “Pinaghirapan ko ito tapos sisipain mo lang. Kung away mo kumain di huwag, mamatay ka sa gutom!” (I worked hard to prepare this only for you to kick it away. If you don’t want to eat, then don’t. You can starve to death!)
He takes the tray away and leaves the bedroom. Another thug meets him and takes the tray from him. This one eats the food.
Esperanza arrives at Bella’s home. She came as quickly having heard the news about her niece while she is in Cebu attending to some business. Rodolfo and Corazon update her of what has happened. She is worried that the day is almost over, it is now night time, and still there are no words from Marimar’s kidnappers.
Police assure them that some kidnappers have this style of playing with the family, delaying their demands to intensify their fear and worry. Rodolfo suspects that Sergio is behind all this and tells the police. Esperanza and Corazon looked shocked at Rodolfo’s accusations but appear thoughtful, knowing deep inside that this could be a possibility.
My take: After this incident Marimar should fire all her guards and replace them with more competent ones! Also she should change homes, the one she is currently living in has picket fences that do not really secure a multi-billionairess. The previous one, when Gustavo was still alive looked better and more appropriate for someone of her stature.

Marimar Episode 82 - The one where Marimar rescues Sergio
Marimar Episode 82 - The one where Marimar rescues Sergio
Aired in the UAE on 11th December 2007
In the crash site, Sergio awakens. He is badly hurt with lots of wounds. He tries to get up. He stands but has a huge cut on his stomach. His clothes are tattered and burnt in many places. He walks away from the burning debris of the plane.
Arturo is praying. He prmosies “Pag nalaman kong safe siya, magbabagong buhay na ako. Di na magpapaka-bading,” he’d turn a new leaf and go straight but takes it back in the end saying, “Etching lang yon!” (Just kidding).
Antonio sends a more serious and sincere prayer for his friend as do Innocencia who adds to herself, “Huwag nyo po sanang pababayaan si Sergio - Ang lalaking pinakamamahal ko.”
Marimar continues to worry that they haven’t found Sergio yet. She fears that he may be badly wounded and may die from his wounds.
Innocencia who is keeping vigil with Arturo and Antonio in the Santibanez Motors office answers a phone call from the rescue team who are informing them that they will be resuming the operations tomorrow. Innocencia got livid with anger screaming that they must do the search today and continue doing so until Sergio has been found.
Corazon asks Marimar for any updates on the search for Sergio. Marimar cries and tells the nanny that she doesn’t want her daughter, Cruzita to know about her father yet. Corazon feels for her ward and comments, “Maaga maulila sa ama.” (She’ll miss her father, losing him this early).
Marimar gets upset at Corazon’s words and insists that Sergio is still alive. “Alam ko, buhay si Sergio!” Just then Cruzita comes asking whether her father has called yet. She reminds Corazon that when Sergio calls and she is asleep, to wake her so that she can talk to her father. Corazon and Marimar exchanged worried glances but try to appear calm for Cruzita’s sake.
The man representing the rescue team who is talking to Innocencia at the other end of the line advises her, “Ihanda ninyo ang mga sarili, may chance na patay na siya.” (Prepare yourselves; there’s a likely chance that he may be dead.)
Innocencia breaks down in tears and Arturo and Antonio console her. Innocencia retorts, “Ano ka, Diyos para magsabi kung patay o buhay pa ang isang tao? Hanapin nyo si Sergio. Parang awa nyo na, hanapin nyo si Sergio.” (What are you? God that you can dictate whether a person is dead or not? Find Sergio. Please find him!)
Bella is in a meeting with Rodolfo and some of their partners but Bella’s mind is somewhere else. Rodolfo is talking and asks for her opinion but she is clearly distracted and couldn’t answer him.
Angelika complains about the food at the dinner table. Monica keeps silent but Diego couldn’t stand her arrogance as he comments, “Kung gusto mo ng masarap na ulam, bumili ka! Pero paano mo magagawa yan eh wala ka nang pera?” (If you want to eat something you prefer, then go ahead and buy it! But how can you do that now that you no longer have any money?)
Angelika is shocked at his affront and snaps, “Bodyguard lang kita.” (You are only my bodyguard.)
Diego retorts, “Dati yon.” (That was before.) He tells his wife who chose to remain silent, “Pabigat lang siya dito.” (She’s but dead weight around here.)
After their meeting, Rodolfo confronts Bella about not concentrating on their meeting. The ambitious young man adds that he hope the distraction is about their forthcoming wedding. He does have another meeting to run to and so leaves Bella alone with her worries but before that, Bella assures him that their wedding is going to push through as planned.
Monica apologises to Angelika about Diego’s behaviour. Angelika swears to find a job and when she does get by some money she’s going to slap them on Diego’s face. “Isasampal ko sa mukha niya!”
Rodrigo, Marimar’s bodyguard and head of the team presents her with the best rescue team in the country. They are trained in the United States and are based in Zubic (where the US Naval Base used to be). Bella talks to them and assures them that money is not a problem. She adds that should they find and rescue the person, they would also receive a generous bonus. She takes steps to assure that Sergio does get found and rescued.
Sergio is weakened by his many injuries and from the loss of too much blood. He falls down and crawls instead. Unable to go on, he lies on his back on the ground.
Angelika goes back to selling herself to get some cash. She is with a customer but unluckily, he gets caught by his wife who attacks Angelika. In the struggle, she loses her eye patch and the couple cringed at seeing how ugly she is without the patch. They leave her fallen on the ground. She gets up and walks away, conscious of the people who can see how ugly she is.
Renato wants to be released from the hospital but Dra. Ria convinces him to stay awhile. She says that he needs to undergo more tests. The senior Santibanez feels regret stating, “Siguro pinagbabayaran ko ang mga kasalanan ko. Kasalanan ko sa asawa ko at sa nag-iisa kong anak.” (Perhaps I’m paying for the bad deeds I’ve done in the past. Paying for the mistakes I’ve made to my wife and my only son.)
Marimar paces in her home, unable to feel settled until Sergio is found. In her mind she hopes he is safe. “Nasaan ka man ngayon, sana ligtas ka.”
In the forest, Sergio is about to give up. He is in too much pain and suffering and just wants it all to end. “Diyos ko, kung gusto nyo akong junin, tatanggapin kong maluwag sa puso ko ang kamatayan ko. Isa lang po ang hiling ko, kung nasaan man si Marimar ngayon, ihatid nyo sa kanya ang pagmamahal ko.” (God, if you deem it time for my life to end, I accept it wholeheartedly. I ask just one thing: wherever Marimar is right now, send her my love.)
Marimar continues to fret and promises to hold off her plans for revenge agains the man who hurt her the most, the same man she loves more than anyone, the man she hopes is safe and alive. “Pangako, di na ako maghihiganti. Tatanggalin ko na ang poot sa puso ko, iligtas nyo lang po si Sergio.”
Sergio is dying as Marimar, across the seas, cries. Flashback to some of their times spent together, a celebration of the love and life they’ve shared. Sergio leaves them, Marimar and Cruzita, to God. “Kayo na po ang bahala kay Marimar at Cruzita.” He closes his eyes. Rest embraces him along with cold and darkness.
Cruzita asks her mother why her dad has not called her yet. “I miss him.” Declares the child who is starting to feel that something must be wrong. Marimar brushes off her fears assuring her that her father would call her soon, telling Cruzita that Sergio is just busy with his work.
Angelika arrives at Monica and Diego’s home without shoes and with many scratches from the wife who attacked her. Monica looked concerned while Diego appeared annoyed.
Renato asks the pretty doctor why he can recall some things clearly and others, not at all. He gets flashes of some memories but they remain unclear to him. He doesn’t understand many of his recollections. Dr. Ria assures him that this is normal. He suffered through a trauma and in time his memories will all come back.
Angelika cries in front of the couple. She laments that her beauty is gone when it had been one of her assets. “Dati lahat ng babae kina-iingitan ako. Lahat ng lalaki, pinagnanasahan ako.” Women envied her and men wanted her back then.
Monica cries, feeling for her friend’s loss. Diego retorts it is but karma for all the bad things she has done and leaves the two women to cry on each other’s shoulders.
Angelika sees her friend crying and asks, “Monica, naaawa ka ba sa akin?” (Do you feel sorry for me?)
Monica, honest as usual answers, “Nanghihinayang ako doon sa sapatos. Paborito ko kasi yon, pero tama na.” (I feel sad that you lost my shoe, it was one of my favorites but enough.) She calms Angelika down, telling her friend that it’s time to stop crying.
Dra. Ria asks Renato about his earlier statement. “Kanina nabanggit mo na meron kang kasalanan na dapat mong pagbayaran?” (Earlier you mentioned that you are only paying for the evil deeds you’ve done?)
Renato explains, “Masamang tao ako. Di ako naging mabuting asawa at ama. May isang anak ako. Di ko minahal.” (I was a bad person. I haven’t been a good husband and father. I have a son whom I didn’t love.)
The doctor gives him hope. “May pagkakataon pa para baguhin ang sarili.” (There is time to change one’s self.)
Renato turns his back on the kindly doctor as he lets the tears of regret roll down. Dra. Ria looks on her patient with worry.
Marimar, in safari fashion, joins the rescue team as they search for Sergio in the forest. (Nice song by Gerald Santos!) She calls out Sergio’s name. Somewhere in the area, Sergio dies. His face turns white as his soul leaves his body. (My five year old daughter commented that Sergio looked like a gorilla when he turned pale!)
A light comes from a short distance and Sergio’s soul, now in while t-shirt (he was wearing a blue polo shirt) and jeans (sana white pants na rin!), walks over to the light. He smiles as he finds eternal rest.
Marimar walks towards the body, calling for Sergio and turns around and finds something, she runs towards it as she realises it’s Sergio. She drops her hat and kneels down beside Sergio’s body. She listens for his heartbeat as she calls for the rest of the team to come to where she is. She has found Sergio! She removes her jacket to cover his body. (Mind you all done in slow-motion....with the song still on.)
Sergio’s soul looks back from the light to see Marimar beside his mortal remaims. He smiles, happy to see his love and goes back towards his body where she is now crouched. He sits beside the woman he loves, watching her as she covers him with her jacket. He feels her need of him, and of his own need, to be with her, overpowering death. His soul returns to his body.
Sergio inhales and opens his eyes to find Marimar. He closes them again as the rest of the team come to their aid. They give the survivor first aid and put him in a stretcher bound for the best hospitals in Manila.
Marimar rescued the man she loves. Sergio lives.

Marimar and Rodrigo are meeting again with the wedding organizer. All seems set including the flowers which are being flown in from Holland. The wedding planner asks Bella whether she'd like to have some fittings for her wedding gown. Bella declines telling the planner that the couturiers already know her measurements, "No, alam na ng couturier yan."
Rodolfo although a bit disappointed supports her as he reasons, "Besides it's bad luck for a bride to be fitting her gown before the wedding, right?" (There is some tradition that you do not fit your wedding gown and you get double bad luck if while you are fitting, the groom happens to see you in it. In the Philippines, this can be doomed that the wedding will not push through.)
Marimar wants to get back to her work and finish it but Rodolfo tells her to wait a while as they have to iron out some details regarding their forthcoming wedding.
Sergio tells his friends, Arturo and Antonio that he has decided to supervise the opening of their branch in Cebu. He originally intended for Antonio to go there and head this project but having thought things over, he has decided to do it himself.
Cruzita and Corazon are together at home and the little girl tells her nanny that she wants to go to the park. Rodrigo arrives and tries to win over Cruzita's affections by giving her a toy doll, "Di ba you like dolls?"
But Cruzita doesn't like him at all, being loyal to her biological father, Sergio. She tells Rodrigo politely, "My mom told me never to accept gifts from strangers."
Marimar sees this exchange as Rodolfo tells the child he is not a stranger but an uncle of sorts. Marimar tries to explain to her daughter her relationship with Rodolfo but the child doesn't give them the chance. She asks Corazon to take her to her room, boycotting whatever it is the adults are planning.
Marimar looks worried but Rodolfo quickly assures her that she has no need to worry. Cruzita will eventually learn to accept him as her step-father.
Sergio admits to his friends that his relationship with Marimar is going nowhere. "Malabo na kami ni Marimar. Mas mahihirapan lang ako kung malapit kami sa isa't isa. Papakalayo na muna ako." He tells them this is the best way for them to both have a bit of space. If he and Marimar could no longer patch things up, it is best that they just stay apart for a while. He's also be able to start anew, in a way and maybe perhaps heal his broken heart.
Arturo asks him is he is truly sure of his decision. Sergio admits he isn't but he adds that this seems to be the only way for them to have a bit of peace.
Cruzita is doodling and drawing and Marimar comes to her asking what it is she is drawing. Cruzita describes a family with a father, mother and a child. She adds, "They're happy kasi kumpleto sila." She turns sad, realising she is not with her father and that her small family is not complete. Marimar reminds her daughter that with her Tito Rodolfo, they have a chance to be complete so she must give him a chance. But Cruzita is as stubborn as her parents. She simply states, "I don't like him."
Marimar asks her, "Don't you want a daddy?" Referring to her daughter's picture. Cruzita is still firm, "May daddy na ako." (I already have a daddy.)
Sergio's flight has been booked according to one of his secretary and she bids his friends goodbye. Arturo wants to go with him but Sergio reminds him that their Manila operations is much bigger and so Antonio would need Arturo here. They ask him when he plans to return and his reply is an indefinite, "Pag OK na ako." (When I'm fine.) Arturo smiles reminding Sergio to contact them as often as he can through text messages so they are kept updated about him.
Marimar talks to Cruzita about Sergio. "Anak, kalimutan mo na ang daddy mo." (Forget about your dad.)
"I love him. Kay daddy ka na lang pakasal." (Why don't you marry daddy instead?)
Marimar hugs her daughter and looks at her carefully but with a sorrow that only her mind speaks, "Kelan man, di magiging parte ng buhay mo ang daddy mo." (You father will never be part of your life.)
(Marimar is daft. Couldn't she see what she is doing is not only hurting her but her daughter as well? Why can't she just admit that she still loves Sergio? Grrr...these telenovelas...)
Just as they are saying goodbye and exchanging last-minute instructions and well wishes at Santibanez Motors, Innocencia arrives. They are surprised to see her after Marimar caught her and Sergio in the park with Cruzita but the young woman reasons she works there and looks at Sergio, confirming with the boss if she still has her job.
Sergio is quick to accept her back into the fold telling her she'd be needed to support Antonio take care of the business.
"Aalis ka?" Innocencia is shocked. She cries and hugs Sergio who is surprised at her reaction. The two men exchange knowing glances with Antonio now certain that Innocencia is truly in love with Sergio. Arturo finds the whole situation a bit awkward but keeps silent.
Arturo arrives at Marimar's home (Bakit nga ba mala-picket fences lang home ni Marimar when she is supposed to be some rich billionairess? Thanks to Arthur for pointing this out too.) He has a letter for Marimar from Sergio. Corazon lets him in the white, wooden gate. Marimar meets him and he hands her Sergio's letter.
She opens the letter and Sergi's voice over commences.
"Mahal kong Marimar. Pagbasa mo ng sulat na ito, nakaalis na ako. Hindi ko ito gusto. Labag ito sa puso ko. Ayaw kong malayo sa anak ko, lalo na sa iyo. Isipin ko pa lang na di ko kayo makikita, parang mamamatay na ako. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Mahal na mahal kita. Ikaw ang buhay ko. "
Marimar couldn't stop the tears from falling. In an airfield somewhere, Sergio too is crying. She continues to read the letter:
"Pakisabi kay Cruzita na mahal na mahal ko siya. Mag-ingat kayo pareho."
Dra. Ria checks on Renato. He moves and she is encouraged to talk to him. "Naririnig mo ba ako? Kung oo, pisilin mo ang kamay ko." (Can you hear me? If yes, squeeze my hand.) Renato closes his hand a bit showing the doctor that she understood her.
Corazon asks Marimar what Sergio's letter said. She tells the nanny that Sergio is leaving. Corazon couldn't believe it. She looks at Marimar and can see that she had been crying while reading the letter. She asks her, "Anong feelings mo?"
Marimar lies, hiding her sorrow unsuccessfully, "Shempre masaya, hindi na niya kami guguluhin ni Cruzita." (Of course I'm happy. He won't bother me and Cruzita anymore.)
Corazon doesn't buy her false happiness and asks, "Talaga bang wala nang pag-ibig? Kahit gamay lang?" (Don't you have any more feelings for him? Not even a bit?)
"Di naman ako pakakasal kay Rodolfo kung may nararamdaman pa ako kay Sergio." Marimar tells Corazon she wouldn't marry Rodolfo is she still had feelings for Sergio.
Corazon tries to make her realise she is just going to be hurting herself and her daughter in her decision to wed Rodolfo. "Paano si Cruzita? Ayaw niya kay Rodolfo." Cruzita especially doesn't like Rodolfo that much.
Marimar reasons, "Bata pa si Cruzita." He daughter is still young. In time perhaps and Marimar hopes too that her views about Rodolfo would change.
Dra Ria urges Renato to awaken and open his eyes. He does and see the pretty face of the kindly doctor who found him and nursed him devotedly until this day. He asks, "Sino ka? Asan ako?" (Who are you? Where am I?)
"Ako si Dr. Concepcion. Nandito ka sa ospital." Dra. Ria introduces herself and tells Renato that he's in a hospital.
"Baki ako nandito? Anong nangyari sa akin?" (Why and I here? What happened t me?) He doesn't seem to recall what brought him to the hospital.
The doctor tells him that he's been in hospital for about a month now and had been comatose since then. "Thank God nagising ka na rin." Dr. Concepcion is relieved that Renato has finally awakened. However, it seems that Renato is suffering from amnesia.
Sergio is on an airstrip, looking at a small plane. Marimar calls him on the phone but doesn't talk instead she hands the phone to Cruzita.
"Sabi ni mommy aalis ka daw?" (Mommy says you're leaving?) Cruzita doesn't yet realise that her father will be living farther from her and her mother.
Sergio is happy to hear Cruzita as he explains it is about a job that he'll be away for a while. Cruzita wants to come with him but he tells her, "Kawawa naman ang mommy mo, walang kasama." So Cruzita decides to stay to keep Marimar company but asks Sergio "Please daddy balik ka agad. I will really miss you."
Although she doesn't say anything, Marimar is trying hard to hide the tears that continue to flow. She is saddened by being apart from Sergio too. She doesn't really admit it but she feels it deep down.
Backin the hospital Renato is able to recall his first name. He is having trouble remembering his surname but gets a shock as he recalls he is married and has a family. "May asawa ako, may anak - si Sergio."
Sergio takes off on a small plane. The horizon seems foggy and the pilot looks worried. The planeride gets bumpy and Sergio too starts to look alarmed.
Renato continues to talk to Dra. Concepcion. He shares that he wants to see Sergio. Having no one come to the hospital to look for him, the young doctor assures her that she is there for him. "Ako mag-aalaga sa iyo." She promises to take care of him until he is back on his feet.
"Mayday, mayday" The pilot sends a distress signal that their plane is in trouble. He tells Sergio to put on his life jacket. Sergio obeys and braces himself as the ride gets bumpier. (Bakit sinuot nya yung pang-tubig eh di ba dapat parachute kasi nasa bandang gubat sila?)
Despite the pilot's valiant effort, the plane crashes down a thick forest and explodes.
Arturo and Antonio are both worried about Sergio as he has not contacted them yet. Arturo wonders aloud, "Nasa Cebu na kaya si bossing?" Innocencia too cannot help but get worried. It's only a few hours to Cebu from Manila. They should have gotten a call from Sergio now. Just then, the office phone rings and Antonio answers it.
"What?!" Antonio doesn't believe what he is hearing as an airline representative advise them about Sergio's accident. His plane crashed.
Corazon is watching some news on the television and a newsbreak interrupts the normal programming. A reporter informs the public, "Sa isang gubat sa Mindoro, isang chartered plane, flight 112 ay nag-crash lulan si Captain Miguel Alonzo at Mr. Sergio Santibanez, isang tanyag na karerista."
Corazon is shocked at the new and runs to Marimar's room to tell her what she heard. (Panay ata pagsuot ng yellow ni Marimar ah. Anyway, bagay naman sa kulay niya.)
Innocencia, Arturo and Antonio ask the rescuers about Sergio, whether he has been found yet. Rescuers reasoned, "Nahirapan po kami sa crash site. Liblib po ang lugar. Natagpuan na ang katawan ni Capt. Alonzo pero hindi pa natatagpuan si Mr. Santibanez." (They had a hard time at the crash site as it was very secluded. They've found the remains of the pilot but not Sergio.)
Marimar cannot keep still. She is obviously pretty worried and calls Corazon to ask if there is any update on Sergio's rescue.
Corazon tells her that rescue teams have been sent but still haven't found him. They are not sure if Sergio is still alive.
Marimar wants to believe that Sergio is still alive. "Buhay pa si Sergio. Hindi siya pwedeng mamatay." Marimar's voice is filled with panic. She wants to be able to do something. She adds, "Maloloka ako kakaisip kung buhay pa o hindi si Sergio." (I'd go mad thinking whether he is still alive or not.) She asks Corazon to get her phone.
Marimar calls Rowena and instructs her to find out everything about the plane crash, flight 112.
In the forest, there are bits and pieces of the plane and fire everywhere. Sergio lies bloodied and unconscious. Slowly he opens his eyes.
Marimar Episode 78

Marimar Episode 78 – The one with Marimar’s party at Villa Aldama
Aired in the UAE on Wednesday, 5th December 2007
Angelika and Nicandro has just finished doing ‘the deed’ and the man asks the woman, “Nag-enjoy ka ba?” if she enjoyed herself. Nicandro offers his home to Angelika telling her she can stay for as long as she likes as she does have some pretty interesting uses after all. “May silbi ka naman eh.”
Angelika doesn’t seem to mind that she’s sunk so low, having sexual relations with her lapdog and henchman. She blames Marimar for all her misery and vows vengeance. “Pagbabayaran mo ng buhay mo!” (Is she daft? She caused Marimar to seek vengeance on her in the first place for all the evil things she’s done and now she wants to seek her own? Never-ending na lang ba na cycle ito? Oh well, telenovelas do come across as such. What else is new? There really seems to be no remorse on her part but she did act well the part where she apologised to her old childhood friend.)
Marimar walks barefoot at the resort’s beach. Several guards are on hand to provide protection and one even holds her umbrella for her protecting her from the soft drizzle. Fulgoso reminds her (although she doesn’t really hear it) of the times when they used to run along the beach chasing each other. “Gusto mo naka-paa. Jologs ka pa noon.”
Marimar recalls the time she spent with Sergio in the deserted island when he took her off there to make amends. She cries as bitter-sweet memories come rushing back. Memories she has long hidden and locked in her heart.
Fulgoso notices her and comments, “Ay-ya-yay, umiiyak ka na naman ba Marimar?” Knowing how easily Marimar can succumb to tears.
Marimar talks to her loyal and beloved friend, “ang sarap ng hangin Fulgoso. Ang sarap ng buhangin sa mga paa ko.” She shares that she recall her grandparents, Lolo Pancho and Lola Cruz. How happy they were back then. “At si Sergio...” She sighs as memories of her wedding day comes to taunt her along with his admission that it was all a fake. She cries with the rain.
“Bakit? Bakit ang lungkot-lungkot ko? Bakit ang sakit-sakit? Bakit ang lalim ng puwang dito sa dibdib ko?” She asks the world why she is so sad. Why is she still hurting. And why is there such a huge emptiness within her heart.
“Ako si Marimar. Mabuti akong tao.” She declares she is a good person but pauses to consider her statement. “Mabuting tao....” She questions her actions of late. “Mabuting tao pa ba ako?” Seeking her vengeance to the ruin of Angelika and Sergio has made her into something else. Her anger surfaces as she blames them for what she has become.
“Niloko mo ako. Binigay ko lahat sa iyo Sergio, lahat ng pag-ibig ko. Pero ginamit mo lang ako. Ginamit mo ako para lang kay Angelika. Naisip ko kung tama ba ang ginawa ko, pero naisip ko lahat ng kahayupang ginawa mo sa akin. Lahat ng hirap.”
She justifies her anger by remembering how Sergio fooled and used her, just to make Angelika jealous.
Marimar recalls the scene with Angelika at the hill where she got shot. “Kaya tama lang na palayasin sila dito tulad ng pagpapalayas nila sa akin noong mangmang pa ako.” She uses this to rationalise that what she did, her revenge, had been just right.
But her fear of God stops her and gives her much guilt. She sends a prayer, “Diyos ko, patawarin nyo po ako. Lahat ng paghihirap dinanas ko. Tama ako. Dahil lahat ng utang dapat pinagbabayaran. Naniningil lang ako sa lahat ng ginawa nila sa akin.” She asks for forgiveness and reasons that every debt must be paid. She was but settling scores; calling in debts from her past. (So, Marimar dear, you've gotten revenge but are you happy? Vengenace may be sweet but what comes after is the bitter taste of regret.)
Nicandro asks Angelika to eat. “Pasensiya na, ito lang kaya ng pera ko.” He apologises for the humble spread saying this is all his money could afford.
Angelika asks for some cutleries but Nicandro wakes her up with a few reality bites. “Huwag ka nang ma-arte! Wala ka na bang pera? Anong plano mo? Di ka naman pwedeng umasa na lang sa akin.” He asks her what her plans are and reminds her that she cannot just rely on him to survive, she too must find a way to bring in some income.
Angelika agrees and assures him she will think of something. “Maganda ako. Madaming mauuto lalaki.” She is pretty and has a sexy body. It would be easy for her to find men she could fool whilst taking their money away.
Innocencia is still with Sergio and now Cruzita has gone asleep in his arms. She offers to take the child so he can have a bit of a break but he tells her that he doesn’t mind. Innocencia shares that she grew up in a similar park herself with both parents vending balloons and ‘balot’ (duck eggs) in the park. She shares that she is just a simple person with simple dreams: to be with the man she loves. She offers that she would be a good wife and mother to her family. (Hinting to the max itong bruhang ito! Hoy, wake up and smell the sampaguitas, hija, si Marimar lang ang mahal ni Sergio! Asa ka pa! The nerd! hehehehe ay, the nerve pala! hahahahaha!)
Innocencia’s mom and Corazon are fretting, worried that it is getting late and yet Innocencia and Cruzita aren’t back yet.
Sergio shares a bit of himself to Innocencia as well. “Ako, all I want is a family.” He is sad to admit that he doesn’t get along well with his own father and he wants this to be different in his own family. He regrets that he and Marimar are not in good terms and most of it really is his own doing. “Sayang..”
Wanting to cheer him, Innocencia quickly adds “Hindi pa huli ang lahat. Pwede pa mangyari yon.” Indeed it’s not too late, and Sergio is young. He can still achieve his dreams. (But of course Innocencia has in mind that it would be her and Sergio sharing the happy family dream. Hay kakainis! What a traitor!)
Sergio of course thinks about Marimar, “Sa tingin mo magkakabalikan pa kami ni Marimar?”
Corazon is now frantic and tension heightens when they get a call from Marimar, asking her to put Cruzita on the line.
Nicandro advises Angelika to go to Manila, “Malakas kita ng call girls doon.” Call girls or to be blunt, whores earn big in the city. But Angelika has revenge in her mind and asks Nicandro to help her get back into the villa.
At first, the thug hesitate telling her that they would never succeed. There are too many guards securing the area. Angelika reminds him that he ought to know every nook and cranny of the place and Nicandro recalls an old gate he uses to slip in and out of the premises. “Nasa liblib na parte ng resort.” It is located in a secluded and oft-overlooked area of the resort.
Angelika bids him, “Samahan mo ako. Ginulat ako ni Marimar. Ako naman ang bubulaga sa kanya.” (Marimar caught me off-guard. Now it's my turn to give her a surprise.)
Corazon looks at Nanay Leonor for some inspiration as she lies to Marimar. “Tulog na.” Telling the mother that her daughter is now asleep. Marimar wonders, “Ala sais pa lang,” it’s only but six in the evening.
Corazon explains that Cruzita had slept since the afternoon nap and hasn’t awoken since then. But Marimar insists that she wake the child up as she wants to talk to her daughter.
The nanny was running up of excuses and is about to blurt out the truth when Cruzita arrives with Innocencia. It was just the perfect time! Corazon hands Cruzita the phone telling her it’s her mother.
Back at the villa, Bella calls on Perfecta and orders her to feed Fulgoso. Perfecta reasons there is no longer any dog food available. Bella snaps at her to go and buy some for her pet. “Di ka ba nag-iisip?”
Perfecta mutters to herself and one staff hears her. The girl asks why is she muttering and Perfecta ridicules Marimar, “Dating mangmang na naka-paa.” telling the girl who the new owner used to be.
The new staff admits, “Di ko ma-imagine.” She cannot think of Bella as some naive bare-footed simpleton.
Perfecta tries to convince her. “Basura lang yan dito.” Expressing that Marimar was but trash in the resort before. (Perfecta dear, for all the things you've connived with Angelika to make Marimar's life hell at the villa, you could be the next one to be fired off Villa Aldama. Careful!)
Innocencia and Sergio continue their talk. The woman asks the man how is he going to win back Marimar. The man admits it would be difficult as right now Marimar is filled with hatred for him. Innocencia advises the man she loves to love someone else. “Ibaling mo na lang sa iba ang pag-ibig mo.” (Yeah right, more like, ibaling mo na lang sa akin...biatch! Ochoserang frog ito!)
The party is at full swing at Villa Aldama. Rodolfo’s guests and friends arrive. Bruno asks his friend where Bella is.
In the kitchen, Perfecta and the staff are busy preparing the food for the party. Nicandro arrives with Angelika who looks plain without her signature clothes, designer make-up and expensive baubles. Nicandro wishes her luck and leaves, not wanting to be a part of Angelika’s one-track-mind search for retribution.
Sergio tells Innocencia that when Marimar returns, he may no longer be able to see Cruzita. Innocencia assures him that she will do all she can to find a way around it and help him. Sergio tells her that if Marimar finds out about this, she would surely get very angry with Innocencia.
But Innocencia has made up her mind. She will do everything for the man she loves as she talks in her head, “Handa akong harapin ang galit ni Marimar huwag ka lang mawala sa buhay ko. Hanggang ngayon minamahal pa rin kita Sergio.”
Angelika grabs one of the hotel staff and wrings her neck (ala Alias, ibang level na ito!) Perfecta throws her a two-pronged serving fork and she changes into the uniform of the unconscious lass. (Did she kill her or just put her to sleep?)
Arturo tells Sergio his fear. When Marimar comes back, he wouldn’t be able to see Cruzita. Sergio is firm in his resolve to seek legal means if only to spend some time with Cruzita. Arturo isn’t keen on his boss’ plan as this will only anger Marimar more.
Sergio sighs, stating that he wants his family to be complete. “Gusto kong mabuo ang pamilya ko.”
Arturo shares his gut feelings with Sergio. ”Feeling ko lang, di na kayo magkakabalikan pa ni Marimar.”
Sergio tells his gay friend that he shares the same views as Innocencia sharing what the young woman just told him, “Nagbago na daw si Marimar.” Marimar has changed a lot.
Arturo shows surprise at Innocencia’s comment about her friend knowing it hints at the woman’s own yearning for Sergio but he advises his friend to follow Innocencia’s advise anyway.
Sergio remains firm as he declines the good intentions of his friends. He declares he loves none other but Marimar.
Marimar is in a colorful, flowery, gauzy gown (parang Georgette) that is quite long. She looks radiant and Rodolfo greets her justly, “Hello my beautiful girlfriend.” (Urgh, so proprietory! Stop or I'd vomit all over my notes already!)
Rodolfo calls everyone’s attention. “Ladies and Gentlemen....” He makes a speech about how happy this occasion is being the launch of Villa Aldama.
Angelika is inconspicuous as one of the resort staff in mint green. She looks rather plain with light make-up and couldn’t be singled out in a crowd.
It is now Bella’s turn to say something and she shares with the guests some anecdote, “Ang imposible, pwedeng gawing posible. Pag ginusto mo, makukuha mo.” Guests clap but stop when from nowhere Angelika shouts, “Ako ang may-ari ng resort na ito. Magkakamatayan muna tayo bago ito maging sa iyo.”
She lunges with the pointed fork as guards run to protect Bella and stop the intruder. Marimar struggles with Angelika as she fights against the woman who has every reason to kill her at this juncture. (We all make a collective gasp as we hope our heroine would be okay. Of course she will be, this is primetime TV!)

Marimar Episode 77

Marimar Episode 77 – The one with the other mud scene
Aired in the UAE on 4th December 2007
Marimar tells Angelika to take the key but she has to use her mouth to fish it out of the muddy puddle just as she once asked Marimar to do with a diamond-studded bracelet. Angelika pauses, considering her options as Marimar raises her voice in question, “Gagawin mo ba o hindi? Ano?” prompting Angelika whether she would do it or not.
Sergio is in his office, still feeling quite low at his recent situation being far away from Marimar and Cruzita. He is looking at the pictures taken by Corazon on that happy afternoon when they first spent some quality time together as a family, especially the shot where he and Marimar kissed with Cruzita beaming happily.
Arturo walks in, complete with black eyeliner and a new haircut. He notices how somber his boss’ face looks so he tries to cheer the young racer up. “Bossing magki-Christmas na, pang-semana santa pa yang mukha mo. Be happy!”
Sergio shares that he is just remembering Cruzita, “Mabilis lumaki, ang daldal!” How quickly she is growing up and how talkative she is. This brings a wistful smile on Sergio’s face. His gay driver who once carried the torch for him comments that it’s a good thing Sergio was able to convince Innocencia to connive with him into letting him see his daughter while Marimar is away. Sergio nods his agreement but he admits to his long-time friend, “Hindi lang naman si Cruzita ang gusto ko makasama, siyempre pati si Marimar.” It’s not only Cruzita he wants to be with but of course also Marimar.
Angelika stoops low to bite off the key to the villa from the mud. She cries as she does this while Marimar smiles in triumph. Perfect and Mike look on in disbelief. Angelika defeated, keeps on sobbing while Marimar let out a laugh.
Sergio and Arturo continue their conversation with the former admitting he wants his small family to be complete, “Gusto ko buo ang pamilya ko. Gusto ko, sabay kami matulog, sabay naming palakihin ang anak namin…” Sergio shares his deepest desires to his childhood playmate. Arturo feels sorry for his friend but tells him to face the reality that these may not be possible now and as time goes by, Sergio’s relationship with Marimar seems to worsen. Sergio sighs as he blames none other than Angelika for this recent misunderstanding with the one woman he truly loves.
Monica rushes to the Villa Santibanez gates asking what the commotion is all about and Perfecta fills her in. Upon hearing what Marimar made Angelika do, Monica shares that the former Senora Santibanez did the same thing to Marimar back then. Diego who arrived with Monica adds, “Buti nga sa kanya.” The former bodyguard obviously didn’t like Angelika as he makes known that it only serves her right for the things she’s done in the past.
Sergio regrets the decisions he has made in his past. He tells Arturo that if he didn’t leave then, to race in Macau, perhaps he and Marimar would still be together now. Arturo reminds him that nothing is certain especially with someone like Angelika plotting and scheming at every opportunity to break them apart. She would have made sure Sergio and Marimar got separated at whatever the cost.
Arturo opines, “Kung meron ngang demonyong dito sa lupa nabubuhay, si Angelika yon. At kung meron mang taong inapi ni Angelika ng lubos, si Marimar yon.” (If ever there was the chance that some demon lived on earth, that would be none other than Angelika and if there was someone who suffered under her, it is none other than Marimar.)
Sergio can only agree with Arturo’s observations and adds that Angelika will only get what’s due her for everything she has done. “Kaya kakarmahin din siya.”
Marimar holds her head high as she wins over her greatest enemy. “Desperada ka na talaga Angelika. Hindi ko inakalang magagawa mo ito.” She admits to Angelika that she didn’t think the former haughty queen of Villa Santibanez would stoop so low.
(I regret what I have done and promise to be a good friend to you from now on, like when we were kids. Do you remember how happy we were then? Give me one more chance.)
The nurse excitedly called and told the lady doctor that Renato’s hands moved. The kind woman checked Renato for any signs of life but he continues to be comatose. She turns to tell the nurse that perhaps it was just her imagination, thinking she saw the mysterious patient move. It could also be just the man’s bodily reflexes and nothing more. The doctor shares to the nurse what their superior had told her. The hospital is only giving the unknown patient a week to show any signs of recovery. Both women look on the patient, pitying him for having no one else, not even a single family by his side.
Angelika asks for Marimar forgiveness and proposes that they start again. She grovels at her former nemesis’ yellow shoes.
Arturo and Sergio continue to talk with the former noting, “Madaling manloko itong si Angelika. Sa una magbabait-baitan sa huli may motibo.” She quickly fools others pretending to be quite goody-goody at first but with a motive in the end.
Marimar shrugs off Angelika’s pleas. “Anong akala mo sa akin? Tanga? Di na ako tulad ng dati na kaya mong lokohin.” (What do you think I am? Stupid? I am no longer like before whom you could easily fool.)
Angelika reminds her of her earlier promise of letting the former owner of the resort stay. “Sabi mo pag pinulot ko di mo ako papa-alisin.”
Marimar mocks Angelika’s naiveté just like the latter had once done to her, in so many instances. “At naniwala ka naman!”
Angelika’s rage is evident as she tries to fight Marimar for the cruelty her once childhood pal is showing her, “Sinungaling ka! Humanda ka, papatayin kita!” (You’re such a liar! I will kill you, you watch out!)
Sergio agrees with Arturo about his observation regarding Angelika. “Di na dapat pagkatiwalaan ang salita ni Angelika.” She shouldn’t be trusted with anything, not her words or her deeds.
Marimar has finished with her tormentor and orders her men to take her away. “Alisin nyo na yan, basura lang yan dito.” Just like trash to be thrown out. Just like what Angelika did to her in the past.
Monica cries as she feels sorry for her friend but Marimar turns to all the witnesses and states, “Ang lahat na nasa labas ng gate, di na pwede pumasok.” The crowd quickly inches inward, including Monica who has no choice but to obey the new resort owner.
Innocencia receives a bouquet of beautiful flowers from Sergio, thanking her for helping him spend some time with Cruzita. She is obviously still in love with her former and current boss and cherishes the sweet gesture. Arturo arrives and sees how thrilled Innocencia is to receive Sergio’s token of thanks. He asks her, “Curious lang ako, bakit mo tinutulungan si Sergio? Di ba close kayo ni Marimar?” (Why are you helping Sergio when Marimar is supposed to be your closest friend?)
Innocencia defends herself explaining it is for Cruzita’s sake. Arturo prods further, suspecting another deeper reason, “May iba pa bang dahilan?” But Innocencia denies anything else beside what she stated. Arturo is certain the young woman has a crush on Sergio but is keeping it secret.
Angelika is walking on the street (sexy pa rin ang lola mo!) as she curses Marimar for evicting her out of her home and life of luxury. “Hayop na Marimar yan! Ang bigat-bigat ng dala ko. Nagkakakalyo na ako!”
Just then she sees a wooden cart. She puts her huge luggage in it and pushes it. A woman runs to her screaming “Akin yan!” that the cart belongs to her but Angelika pushes her off causing her to fall on the ground. “Ano ba? Akin na ito at pwede ba, maligo ka, baho?” She not only managed to insult the poor woman, she also took off with her cart. (Oh Angelika, you are truly bad to the bone!)
Innocencia agrees to meet with Sergio in the park again with Cruzita. Sergio tells Antonio to take charge while he goes off to rendezvous with his daughter and secretary. Antonio comments it is good Marimar hasn’t suspected anything yet and Sergio admits this is all because she is out of town. Indeed it would be much difficult if she were around.
Innocencia looks quite pleased as she orders Corazon to prepare Cruzita’s things as she is accompanying the child for an outing. This time, she will be going by herself and Corazon will be left at home. When the nanny tries to complain, explaining she is the nanny and should accompany her ward anywhere Cruzita goes; Innocencia reminds her that this is better this way. Should Marimar find out, Corazon won’t be blamed for having a hand at conniving with Sergio. Especially when she had already made it known to Innocencia, during the first time they met secretly with Sergio, that she will be forced to tell the truth to Marimar.
“Sundin mo na lang ang utos ko.” Innocencia advised the concerned nanny to just follow her orders.
Arturo and Antonio are discussing the recent turn of events particularly Innocencia’s willingness to help Sergio spend time with his daughter. Sergio just listens to his friends as Arturo comments, “Kahit anong papagawa kay Innocencia, susundin. Kesahodang mag-away sila ni Marimar. Ganyan naman talaga ang babaeng in love.” (Whatever Sergio asks of Innocencia, she will do it. Nevermind her having to face the possibility of severing her friendship with Marimar. Most women in love are the same.)
Anotnio seems shocked at this revelation, granting he harbors feelings for Innocencia himself. “In love si Innocencia kay Sergio?” Even Sergio is astonished hearing this.
In Bella’s home, Innocencia’s mother, is talking to her daughter telling her what she is doing is wrong. She fears Bella will find out about Innocencia helping Sergio and disobeying Marimar’s strict orders about keeping Cruzita away from her father.
Sergio contests Arturo’s observations telling his friends that Innocencia and him are just friends and that they shouldn’t put any color into their relationship. But Arturo insists and even teases Antonio a little saying, “Hindi ka niya type, si Sergio ang type ni Innocencia.”
At this, Antonio defends himself declaring, “Hoy number 7 ako sa Manila’s Most Desirable!”
But Arturo is quick to point out, “At number 1 si Sergio!”
Sergio stops their bickering as he reminds both that he is no longer a bachelor. He hadn't been for quite some time now considering himself married to Marimar in all this time.
In another argument, mother and daughter continue to defend their views. Nanay Leonor reminds her daughter that she has not rights to make any decision as she is not Cruzita’s mother. Marimar is and she has the right to forbid her daughter from seeing his wayward father.
Meantime at the Villa Santibanez, new things are being done. Several of Bella’s men have taken down the sign and are now asking her for directions on what to do with it. Bella coldly declares, “Itapon nyo o sunugin!” Throw it away or burn it, she orders.
Monica is present and approaches Marimar to apologise for being mean to her in the past.
Marimar looks at her and asks, “Di ba kasabwat ka sa lahat ng ginawa ni Angelika?”
Diego defends her wife saying, “Maam, napilitan lang ho si Monica.” Monica was coerced by Angelika into doing her orders.
Monica apologises but Marimar is keen on revenge. She states, “Huli na. Mag-empake ka na.”
Angelika finds a house that is for lease and talks to the owner about it. The owner explains that the monthly rent is five thousand pesos and she would require a month’s deposit and another for advance. Angelika asks if the house’s bathroom has a bathtub.
The owner discovers Angelika doesn’t even have any money and mocks her, “Wala ka palang pera pa-bathtub-bathtub ka pa!”
Angelika tries to call her friend, Monica on her cell phone but she doesn’t answer.
Back at the resort, Marimar tells all. “Maraming pagbabago ang mangyayari. Kung ayaw nyo, malaya kayong umalis. Simula sa araw na ito, tatawagin ninyo ako bilang si Bella at ang sinumang tumawag sa akin ng Marimar ay masisisante agad. Hindi na rin ito Villa Santibanez. Mula sa araw na ito, ang resort ay kikilalaning Villa Aldama.”
Angelika moves on to look for other possible homes but runs into Nicandro.
Sergio, Cruzita and Innocencia meet at the park (the same one as before). Sergio asks why Corazon is not with them and Innocencia offers she can take care of Cruzita herself and she doesn’t want Corazon to also take blame for what they’re doing.
Marimar orders Perfecta to prepare the Executive Suites as she has guests coming to the resort. Perfect asks where Bella is staying, whether it be in her old home (shared with Sergio) or at the mansion. Bella confirms she will stay in the mansion and thus Perfecta must clean it well. She dismisses Perfecta and sits down to eat.
Rodolfo arrives at the Villa Aldama with his friend Bruno. She didn’t expect him to arrive so soon and this clearly shows in her face. Rodolfo coaxes her to smile for him. She asks what he is doing there and he smiles as he says, “I’m here to help you.”
Sergio thanks Innocencia for doing him this favor and apologises that she had to be party to this matter. Innocencia replies sweetly, “OK lang, di lang naman siya ang kaibigan ko, pati ikaw din di ba?” Telling Sergio that she is friends with not only Marimar but also Sergio. (Hey girl, wala ka talagang loyalty! Now kaka-inis ka na ha. Despite me feeling sorry for cutie Sergio, dapat firm ang loyalties mo kay Marimar. Afterall she helped you and your mom a lot. Also you spent a longer time with her and know her well. Kahit pa love mo si Sergio, dapat good and faithful friend ka. Says much about her lack of moral fibre. I can see her being one of the “balakids” for Marimar and Sergio not getting back together.)
Nicandro and Angelika exchange stories about latest events at the villa. Nicandro admits he left as soon as he saw that Marimar was the new owner. “Baka pakulong ako nun.” He confesses that he feared Marimar will send him to prison after all he has done to her. Angelika blames him for all their misfortunes telling him had he not fumbled on killing Marimar in the past, they wouldn’t be in this mess now.
Rodolfo and Bella are celebrating. He proposes a toast, “To your new business acquisition and to our prosperous marriage. Cheers baby!” (Urgh, I hate Rodolfo calling Marimar baby. It’s so patronising and couldn’t Marimar herself not see him for the slimeball that he is? Better the enemy you know than the one you don’t, Bella. I’d take Sergio any day over Rodolfo. But I guess there’s lies the allure that keeps the episodes coming and the viewers watching.)
Rodolfo comments that the area is quite good but points out that there are a lot more nice places that she could have bought.
Marimar admits that she bought the place because this is where she and Sergio first met. This is also the place where Sergio brought her after they got married.
“So you bought this for sentimental reasons,” Rodolfo now realizes the significance of the resort to Bella.
“No,” she coldly tells him, “I bought this for revenge.”
Nicandro invites Angelika to love with him in his shack. He tells her not to be angry. She will have a place to stay in the least. He suggests a more intimate sharing between them and Angelika moves to slap him for his insolence but he stops her and flatly tells her the painful reality, “Wala ka nang pera. Wala ka nang kapangyarihan. Lamang pa ako sa iyo dahil ako may bahay, ikaw wala.”
Nicandro tells her to consider living with him. Angelika points out she has no money to pay him rent. He suggests alternative ways of payment and he touches her arm suggestively. The former Senora Santibanez frowns but keeps her silence as she considers her options.

Marimar Episode 76
Marimar Episode 76 – The one where Angelika gets thrown out of Villa Santibanez (aired in the UAE on Monday, 3rd December 2007)
Angelika is shocked to learn that the new owner of Villa Santibanez is none other than the woman who stole her greatest love away from her, Marimar. She demands, “Anong ginagawa mo dito?” (What are you doing here?)
Fulgoso also makes an entrance wearing a blue shirt and complete with paw studs! He silently declares, “Ayayay! Magkakaroon pa ng away. Marimar kampi ako sa iyo.” (Oh no, looks like a fight is coming up. Marimar I’m on your side) Ever the loyal companion of our heroine turned vindictive heiress, Fulgoso is always at hand to help Marimar.
Attorney Romualdez makes it clear to Angelika, “Siya ang boss ko.” Indicating Marimar is the owner of Ramiram Real Estates and her boss.
Marimar adds, “Gusto mo daw ako makilala?” (I was told that you wanted to meet me?)
In a park somewhere, Sergio thanks Innocencia and Corazon for bringing Cruzita to meet him. Father and daughter are obviously happy to be together but Corazon has reservations, making it plain she isn’t in favor of this whole expedition, “Anong sasabihin ni Bella.” (What would Bella say if she ever found out.)
Marimar continues her attack, “Naghanda ka pa pala para i-welcome ako. How sweet! I’m touched.” (You even made special preparations to welcome me.)
Monica realizes that Ramiram is Marimar spelled backwards and takes a step forward and bows at Marimar like someone worshipping a god. Angelika swats her head to make her stop acting stupid. Monica almost fell forward but was able to keep her balance. She returns in her original stance now getting more and more worried about their future at the resort with Marimar being the new owner.
Angelika continues to protest telling the lawyer that she will just return their payment so she can keep the resort. Monica balks, reminding Angelika she has already used all the money.
Corazon speaks to Innocencia asking her how the latter could do this; betray Bella who is supposed to be her best friend. Innocencia admits that she had no other choice as Sergio caught her talking to Bella over the phone.
Flashback to Sergio confronting Innocencia. He tells the young woman to not let Marimar know that he already knows about their relationship. He also forces her to be the secret ally he has on Bella’s camp to ensure that he continues to see his daughter. He tells her, “Kailangan ko ang anak ko. Kailangan ako ni Cruzita.” (I need my daughter. Cruzita needs me.)
Innocencia also tells the plump nanny that she isn’t in favor of Marimar trying to separate Cruzita from Sergio. Corazon agrees with her but she makes it plain that, “Wala akong magawa dahil katulong lang.” (I can’t do anything as I am just the nanny.)
Marimar cuts Angelika’s and Monica’s conversation, “Kahit maglapas ka pa ng pera, which I doubt (you have), hindi na maibabalik pa.” She tells her and everyone in the lobby present that she is the new owner of Villa Santibanez.
She walks around looking at familiar and new faces as she makes her speech, “Alam kong kilala nyo ako pati ang dati kong pagkatao. Hindi ba’t minamata nyo siya noon? Inaalipusta at pinagtatawanan? Pwes, hindi na siya ang babaeng iyon. Kikilalanin nyo ako bilang si Bella Aldama.” (I know many of you know me as well as the person I used to be. Didn’t you look down on her so then? Laughed and mocked her? Well that person no longer exists. You will all know me as Bella Aldama.)
Corazon makes plain the reason for her worry, “Magagalit si Bella kapag nalaman niya ito.” (Bella would surely be upset if she finds out about this.) Innocencia pleads Corazon to keep this meeting a secret. Bella is indeed her best friend and she doesn’t want Bella to lose her trust in Innocencia. Corazon agrees she will keep this one a secret for Cruzita’s sake.
Father and daughter bond. Cruzita asks if her father missed her. Sergio declares he missed Cruzita so much. The child laughs in delight feeling how much her father loves her.
Corazon tells Innocencia that she will keep this one a secret from Marimar but also makes it known that next time Bella asks, she will have to tell her the truth.
Cruzita tells her father that she hope he and her mother would be able to get back together. Sergio assures her that he is fixing everything but in the meantime, reminds Cruzita to love her mother. The child declares she does love her mother and asks Sergio if he loves Marimar. Sergio doesn’t think twice with his answer, “Of course. I love you both.” Cruzita smiles and hugs her father.
(The first step is to throw out all the trash in this resort and that trash is none other but you, Angelika. I’m giving you a day to pack your bags and leave or I will personally have your thrown out to the dumps that you deserve.)
Angelika in her last attempt to save face, “Hindi mo ako pwedeng palayasin dahil ako ang may-ari ng Villa Santibanez!” (You cannot throw me out because I am still the owner of Villa Santibanez!)
“Bobo! Hindi ka na may-ari dahil binili ko na ito. Di ka ba nagbabasa ng kontrata? Bobo ka talaga! Di ba ikaw ang nagbasa ng sulat ni Sergio noon?” (Stupid! You are no longer the owner as I have already purchased this resort from you. Didn’t you read the contract? You are such an idiot! Weren’t you the one who read Sergio’s letter to me before?)
Angelika is shocked to be slapped by the harsh truth. But Marimar is not yet finished. She tells Angelika bluntly that the land, the air she breathes, everything around them belongs to her. The only property that Angelika owns are the clothes on her back. Angelika lashes out, “Hayop ka!” as she moves to attack Marimar but the numerous guards get to her first and restrain her.
Marimar comes to her and slaps her hard. “Mas hayop ka! Lumayas ka kung ayaw mong tuluyan kitang patayin!”
Angelika struggles from the men who hold her and yells, “Hayop ka!”
Marimar orders her thugs, “Takpan ang bibig ng babaeng yan. Masyadong masangsang!” At once a muscled assistant covers Angelika’s mouth muffling her shouts and insults towards Marimar. (Ay bongga! Ibang level na talaga si Marimar! Serves Angelika right for doing the same to Renato just a while back and for all her cruelties towards Marimar. But still I preferred our heroine to be magnanimous in her victory.)
Renato is being carefully monitored by the kind and pretty doctor who found him. She asks the comatose Santibanez who he is and whether he’s got any family, a wife perhaps, who are worried about him. She wonders why no one seems to be looking for him. She hopes that he awakens soon.
Angelika talks to her lawyer. She asks him why he didn’t investigate about the identity of the buyer. The lawyer claims no fault as Angelika already received their payment and signed the contract. He did warn her earlier that if she sold her shares, she would be selling the resort as she has the majority at 70%. Marimar is indeed the new owner now.
Angelika cannot accept the fact but her lawyer reprimanded her that she should have read the contract thoroughly first before she signed. Even if she wanted to buy back the resort she no longer has any money. She even had to pawn off her jewelleries to pay off her debts at the casino.
A nurse comes to the lady doctor who looks with pity at Renato. She tells her that Dr. Sison wants to see her and she leaves to meet her superior. Renato’s hand twitches, showing a sign of hope.
Sergio and Cruzita play games and as she wants to eat her apple, Sergio scrubs the fruit on his shirt to “clean” it first. They play a cute game hiding and finding the apple. Innocencia and Corazon look on happily. Just then Bella calls Innocencia’s cell phone as the former reports at how shocked Angelika had been when she arrived. She asks about her daughter and Innocencia assures her that everything is find and that she shouldn’t worry about Cruzita. Marimar declares she isn’t worried about Cruzita at all, certain that with both Innocencia and Corazon looking after her, her daughter are in good and capable hands.
After an afternoon of play, Cruzita had fallen asleep in her father’s arms. Sergio too had managed to doze off and the two women wake them up, reminding Sergio it’s time for them to go home. Sergio wanted to take them home but the restraining order against him still stands so he bids farewell to his daughter and thanks Corazon and Innocencia again.
“Bye daddy, I love you.”
“I can’t wait to see you.”
Sergio tells Cruzita to keep this a secret from her mother. He looked very sad so Cruzita tells him not to be sad, instead be happy and smile. How very much like Marimar used to do to Sergio whenever he looked problematic! Father and daughter bid goddbyes with Sergio sending flying kisses to Cruzita. (Wish ko ako na lang si Cruzita, sarap atang matulog sa mga bising ni Sergio! Also ako na lang sasalo ng mga flying kisses niya!)
Angelika drinks at Monica comes to keep her company. Diego tells Monica that Angelika deserves what she is getting but Monica, ever the loyal friend tells her husband that she pities Angelika and “Kahit evil pa siya, kakausapin ko pa rin siya dahil friend ko siya.” (I wish all friends are like Monica, unthinking doormats who are ever loyal)
Monica asks Angelika what are her plans as she’s been given an ultimatum by the new owner. Angelika declares she is not leaving Villa Santibanez as this is her home. “Hindi ako aalis dito. Bahay ko ito.”
“Wala ka nab a talagang pera?” (Don’t you have any money left?) Monica asks if she’s got any more money and Angelika takes out a hundred peso bill from her wallet stating that this is all the money that she has in the world. “Eto na lahat. Isang daan.”
In a rare moment, Angelika shares her humble past with the only friend she has left. “Laki ako sa hirap, lagi walang pera.”
One day, she tells Monica, her father just up and left leaving her alone without any money or food. She learned to fend for herself. “Isang daang piso kapalit ng puri ko.” She reveals she had to sell herself for a hundred pesos just to survive.
Then she met Sergio, the man she loves. But Sergio cannot afford to help her out of the mud she’d made for herself so instead of using her heart, she used her head and seduced Sergio’s father instead. “Kaya naisip kong pakasalan ang may hawak ng pera ng mga Santibanez – si Renato.”
Monica tells her that she did have it all once. It is just unfortunate that she lost it. She tells Monica she is afraid to go back to being poor. She once had it all but now she is back to having nothing. She is willing to do anything just so she doesn’t go back to being poor again. “Ayaw ko nang maghirap. Ayaw ko na. Lahat gagawin ko para di na bumalik doon.” Monica starts to cry, feeling truly sorry for her friend.
Guards take Angelika to the gate of the resort. She struggles as they drag her out of the premises. Angelika calls on Perfecta to help her but the woman can only look at her mistress with pity.
By the gate, Marimar waits with more men. They drop a huge luggage beside Angelika. “Ayan ang mga damit mo, baka akalain mo pinag-interesan ko pa yang mga yan.” (There are your clothes. You may think I had any interest in them.)
Angelika begs Marimar to let her stay as she has nowhere else to go. “Bakit ikaw, naisip mo ba kung may mapupuntahan ako?” Reminding Angelika she once threw Marimar out not even thinking is she too had any place to go then.
“Buntis ako noon. Pinapatay mo pa ako di ba?” (I was pregnant then yet you threw me out. Didn’t you think about that? You even had me killed remember?) Marimar continues to get payback.
“Maawa ka, patawarin mo ako.” (Have pity, please forgive me.) Angelika implores her old friend.
But Marimar is not moved, “Bakit ikaw, naawa ka? Pinagtawanan mo lang ako noon.” (Why did you give me any pity? You even laughed at me then)
Angelika grovels as she almost kisses Marimar yellow (yellow!) shoes, “Wala na akong pera, walang matitirhan, maawa ka sa akin.” (I haven’t got any money, no place to stay, please have pity on me.)
Angelika is desperate, “Gagawin ko ang lahat ng gusto mo para huwag mo lang akong palayasin.” (I will do everything you want just let me stay.)
“Lahat?” Marimar gets an idea and wants to know if Angelika will indeed do as she asks. “Sige, tingnan natin kung gaano ka ka-desperada.” (Let’s see just how desperate you are.)
She helps Angelika stand. “Hindi na kita papalayasin.” (I won’t throw you out anymore.)
Angelika gets a glimmer of hope as Marimar shows her the key to the resort’s mansion. “Eto ang susi ng Villa.” As Angelika tries to grab it, Marimar throws it in a muddy puddle. “Kunin mo ang susing yan sa putikan, gamit ang iyong bibig.” (Pick that key from the mud, using only your mouth.)
Angelika is shocked, unable to believe how everything she has done to Marimar before is now happening to her. Karma honey, it really comes round.
Angelika is shocked to learn that the new owner of Villa Santibanez is none other than the woman who stole her greatest love away from her, Marimar. She demands, “Anong ginagawa mo dito?” (What are you doing here?)

Marimar Episode 75
Marimar Episode 75 – The one where Marimar returns to Villa Santibanez
Sergio meets with Atty. Gatchalian, a lawyer Antonio recommends him as he decides to fight for his rights as Cruzita’s biological father.
In another meeting with another lawyer, Atty. Romualdez gives Angelika the contract offer prepared by Ramiram Real Estate. She tells Senora Santibanez that her staff pulled an all-nighter, “pinagpuyatan yan” just to come up with the contract.
This raises Angelika’s curiousity, “Bakit kayo atat?” as to why the other party is too eager to buy off the resort. The lawyer replies that it is situated well and there are many possibilities for additional projects. This prompts Angelika to play at being hard-to-get declaring that if this were the case, she’d rather not sell and develop the resort herself, “Kung ganoon, ako na lang magpapa-renovate.”
Meanwhile, Innocencia calls Marimar from the Santibanez Motors office to tell her friend that Sergio has been bailed out of prison. She adds that he’s been meeting with a lawyer and is serious about exercising his paternal rights over Cruzita.
In a hospital somewhere, the kindly Dra. Reyes reads to the comatose Renato. Nurses nearby commend her for being so caring and supportive of her patients.
Angelika’s lawyer reminds her that renovating the resort herself is next to impossible as she has no money left to do such a thing. She is also up to her neck in debts. Atty. Romualdez asks if she is having second thoughts and Angelika’s keen sense of survival is somehow sending her warning signals, “Parang may pumipigil sa akin.”
Bella tells Innocencia that she is ready to battle with Sergio should the issue of parentage concerning Cruzita be taken into court. The latter reminds her that Sergio does have rights to his own daughter but she cuts their conversation short knowing how dangerous it is should they get caught, adding that Bella and her would talk in detail at home. Bella thanks her friend, “Salamat sa impormasyon, maaasahan talaga kita,” telling her she can truly depend on Innocencia to be her spy in Sergio’s camp. Unknown to them, Sergio overheard the last part of their conversation as he accidentally picked up the phone.
The Villa Santibanez lawyer asks Angelika, who is smoking, why she is changing her mind at this crucial moment. Angelika remains silent as she weighs her internal reservations versus her need for cash. Attorney Romualdez makes to leave adding that she doesn’t want to waster her time with Angelika’s vacillating decisions. This brings Angelika back to reality as she grabs the contract and tells the lawyers she is signing it.
She asks the lady attorney if 20 million is indeed their last offer and Atty. Romualdez replies that it is already a very generous offer. They can buy it from the bank after the company goes bankrupt but they are willing to forego that and allow the owner some profit.
This settled, Angelika signs the contract. Her lawyer asks, “Di mo na ba babasahin ang kontrata?” (Aren’t you going to go over and read the contract?)

Angelika looks at the thick document and declares, “Kapal nito! Wag na. At di naman siguro ako lolokohin ng Ramiram Real Estate di ba?” She looks at Atty. Romualdez and she starts signing the pages, confident that the buyer will not trick her.
After signing, Angelika complains how her hands ached. Pleased, the lady legal representative of Ramiram real estate takes the signed document and states that she will have them notarized and send Angelika a copy.
Angelika asks for her money and the woman hands her a cheque. The former owner of Villa Santibanez is shocked that the money is only worth 300,000 when the agreed price was for 20 million. “Three hundred thousand lang ito. Twenty million ang usapan natin ah.”
Marimar asks Corazon about Cruzita and the nanny who is obviously not happy with how Marimar is treating Sergio replies, “Natulog na, nakatulugan ang pang-iyak.” (She’s asleep now. She had been crying all this time.)
Corazon pleads for Cruzita’s sake not to stop her from seeing her father, whatever it is that is keeping him and Marimar from coming together, “Naaawa ako sa anak mo. Affected siya sa away ninyo. Huwag mo sana siyang idamay.”
Marimar defends herself, “Hindi ko siya dinadamay pero anong magagawa ko?” She is doing her best to keep Cruzita from her differences with Sergio.
Sergio calls in Innocencia to his office and confronts her about what he heard over the phone earlier. “Kelan pa kayo nagging magkaibigan ni Marimar?”
Innocencia hesitates at first, feigning ignorance but Sergio explodes adding, “Wag mo nang dagdagan pa ang problema ko!” and demands she tell him the truth.
Marimar continues to reason out to Corazon, “Magkadugo lang sila, yun lang. Kelan siya naging ama kay Cruzita?” declaring that the only bond that Sergio and Cruzita have is their common genes/blood but Sergio was never a father to her daughter. He was not even there when they desperately needed him. “Asan siya noong panahong kailangan naming siya?”
Corazon reminds Bella about the actual events, “Hindi alam ni sir Sergio.” That Sergio didn’t know Marimar was pregnant when he left her at her grandparents’ house.
But Marimar is certain he had no plans of her getting pregnant as he didn’t even have any plans of marrying her. “Wala nga siyang balak magka-anak kami. Ni wala nga siyang intensiyong pakasalan ako. Tingin niya kasangkapan lang ako. Ginamit lang.” Sergio thought she was just an object he could use for his own benefit.
The nanny understands how hurt she is. She tells Marimar she knows how she hates Sergio but what about her daughter’s needs?
Marimar asserts her side, stating she doesn’t want to see Sergio and neither does she want to see Cruzita and Sergio together.
Corazon reminds her that Sergio will stop at nothing to be able to spend time with his daughter. Marimar tells Corazon that Innocencia will inform her of every move that Sergio makes so she can be one step ahead of him and plan properly to thwart his every effort.
Back at Santibanez Motors, Innocencia has no choice but to reveal all to her boss. She apologizes to Sergio and declares that when Marimar first came to Manila, fate had deemed that they cross paths. She admitted to helping Marimar and later when she became Bella Aldama, Marimar helped her. When she makes to leave, Sergio stops her, “Saan ka pupunta? Mag-iisip ng bagong palusot? Tinuring kita bilang kaibigan. Ni minsan wala akong nagawang kasalanan sa iyo. Paano mo nagawa sa akin iyon?” (Where are you going? Off to make-up more excuses? I treated you kindly and as a friend. Not once did I ever do anything against you. How could you do this to me?)
At this point, Innocencia cries of guilt as shame. She is torn between Sergio’s kindness and her friendship and indebtedness to Marimar.
Angelika demands why she is only getting 300,000 pesos. Atty. Romualdez explains that had she read the contract she would have seen that part of the agreement is that the buyer will pay-off all the resort’s debts to be able to have a fresh start. The resort’s total debts run up to 19 million 700 thousand leaving Angelika with only 300 thousand, thus the amount on her cheque is correct.
She seemed disappointed at how little she got after selling all her shares. Her lawyer advised although quite belatedly that she should have read the contract before signing.
Back in Manila, Atty. Romualdez tells Marimar that their purchase of the Villa Santibanez was successful. Marimar asks whether Angelika had any doubts as to who the buyer is. She tells Atty. Romualdez that she is ready to go back to San Martin dela Costa. “Oras na para malaman nila kung sino ang may-ari ng Villa Santibanez.” Marimar declares with vengeance primary on her mind.
Despite getting very little money, Angelika chose to shop. She returns to the Villa with bags of clothes and accessories. Monica gladly welcomes her stating that she seemed to have gotten her money already. Angelika declares she got too little of the amount she expected. Monica whines why her friend didn’t take her along shopping and Angelika replies that next time, she will bring Monica along, “Para may taga-buhat ako” So she can have someone to carry all her purchases. She orders Monica, “Iakyat mo na yan” bring her stuff up to her room which the latter quickly follows with a parting shot, “Pasukat na rin.” That she will also try on Angelika’s purchases. Angelika forbids her to fit her clothes shouting at her not to do it. “Hoy, Monica!”
Fifi is sad because Fulgoso is leaving with Marimar for San Martin. She asks why he has to go and why she is left behind. Fulgoso declares, “She needs me, I’m her bestfriend.”
Marimar bids goodbye to Corazon and Innocencia telling them to look after the place and call her if they need anything. Above all she asks them to look after Cruzita well.
In San Martin, Angelika gets ready to welcome the new owner of Villa Santibanez.
Marimar apologizes to Corazon about their earlier conversation, “Pasensiya ka na.” The nanny acknowledges and tells Marimar that she understands.
To her daughter, she declares, “Mami-miss kita. Mami-miss mo rin ba ako? I love you anak.”
“I love you too, mommy.”
“Bye anak.”
“Ingat po kayo mommy.”
Marimar leaves confident that Corazon and Innocencia would look after Cruzita and keep her away from Sergio.
Angelika calls Perfecta and orders her to organize all the staff to clean the resort. “Ayaw kong mapahiya sa bisita ko.”
Monica exclaims, “How exciting, makikilala na natin ang buyers ng Villa Santibanez.”
“I want to make a good impression para madali kong mauto-uto. Parang ikaw….” Angelika and Monica share a laugh.
Cruzita asks Corazon when her mother is coming back. Corazon assures her that her mother is coming back soon.
Meanwhile, Innocencia is talking to someone on her cell phone agreeing to meet somewhere, “Sige doon na lang tayo magkita.” She cuts the conversation and asks Corazon to have Cruzita dressed and ready, “May pupuntahan tayo.” The nanny follows but with some confusion visible on her well-tanned face.
The Villa Santibanez is abuzz with activity. Everyone is busy preparing it to be pleasing to the new owners. Angelika calls Perfacta again, this time asking her to clean the Executive Suite as this is where she intends to house her new guests, the new owners of the resort.
A long-stretch white limousine in convoy with four black 4 X 4 vehicles make their way to the rainy and muddly road leading to the Villa Santibanez.
In the lobby, everyone is ready to greet the new arrivals.
Innocencia takes Corazon and Cruzita to a park. Corazon asks what they are doing there.
“Meron kasing gusting makipagkita sa iyo,” she tells Cruzita, “Ayun siya oh!” Innocencia points at Sergio.
“Daddy!” Cruzita cries in delight as she sees her father again who welcomes her into a bug hug.
The child kisses and hugs her father back and says, “Akala ko di na tayo magkikita.”
Sergio replies, “Pwede bang mangyari yon? Daddy loves you so much.”
Both hug and kiss each other anew.
The limousine stops at the main entrance and from the black 4-wheel drives come 4 men each with an umbrella as there was a drizzle. The limousine opens to reveal a lady in purple gown, something Angelika would normally wear, eye-catching in its sexiness. (Labas pusod, plunging neckline, sleeveless na backless pa! Basta bongga!)
Diego, Nicandro and Perfecta look like they’ve seen a ghost as the lady in purple enters the lobby and asks, “Kumusta na ang Villa Santibanez.”
Attorney Romualdez who acted as the advance-party tells Angelika and Monica that it’s time to meet her boss. The two women make their way to the main lobby and both were aghast to see who the new owner of the resort is.
As the new owner turns to greet Angelika, “Kumusta Angelika.”
Monica’s mouth is wide open, so are her eyes. Angelika drops the glass of red wine in her hand.
The new owner is none other than Marimar.
